Look, I know he did poorly against Southern Miss, but look at how well he did in the second half of the Akron game, and how well he did late last season. At this point, Evan's lack of conditioning to the season structure is showing. Maybe he will be ready next year, but more than likely he'll sit behind these new fellas. It's Marcus Stone's senior year, and we saw how well he did last year around this time. We have a bowl in the balance, and I hope Chuck makes the decision to bring him back. He had his timeout for one bad game for way too long.

He's so correct, Evans has had three games to prove himself. He hasn't done it. The cycle will continue if he remains Qb. He's not doing what Qbs' are suppose to do, and that is lead offenses.

Someone prove to me why Evans has been "the man" the last 4 games?
11/6/2006 11:07:21 PM
Aiight, Evans is not the man.Neither is Stone. It should be Beck or Burke. End of story. Lets hope the coaches are smart enough to realize this.

^^Don't cop-out. You were among the masses who was calling him P riv a couple of weeks ago. Everyone needs to stop this copping-out. I stand firm behind my statements to the end, or, until I'm proven wrong.[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 11:15 PM. Reason : .]

put blackman at qb. the guy can throw. load it up and run shenanigans all game then loft some up to james and dunlap in single coverage.

Oh shut up Earl. I have not praised the name of Evans. And I have never compared him to Rivers. When Stone sucked it up, I was mad that we had to go to Evans instead of Burke, and was then pleasantly surprised when he did well. It doesn't surprise me in the least that he's been average since then. Burke was my guy from the get-go, and I'm only hoping he gets the ball next year (even over Beck)

Doggy, don't tell me to shut man! alright? I'm sick and dad-gom tired of being treated like reject around here. Seriously.

yeah that's a great idea, take our best receiver and make him a quarterback. and then you gotta replace our best kick and punt returner b/c you just can't have your starting qb in the return game...

Revolutionize the offense. Get rid of the quarterback position all together. Go with four running backs and run a hell of a lot of reverses.
