Thursday Night @ 7:45I don't care if you don't care. I do. A Rutgers win would be a program changing win before a national audience. They have no chance to make it to the NC game but it would solidify a young team as a future power. Personally I think they are not as strong as their record (I won't say overrated because I will NEVER call an undefeated team overrated) shows. They don't have a QB and have little big game experience.Louisville, on the other hand, is the real deal. They have a decent defense (most people ONLY saw the WVU game and I promise you that offense would do that against any team in the country -- look no further then the way WVU domianted a very, very good Georgia D last year and a very good Maryland defense this year), good overall team speed, and what I believe will prove to be the best NFL QB out of the bunch coming out this year.Rutgers will stay in it in the first half thanks to what will be a NYC playoff type crowd. In the end, Brohm will be too good and Louisville will pull away and win by 2 scores at least.A convincing Louisville win all but assures them a place in the NC game if they win out. A close or poorly played win puts them in harms way should a UT or UF win out. One quick question. I read that the WVU-UL game Thursday was the highest rated Thurs. night game ever on ESPN and the 2nd highest rated ESPN college football reg. season game in it's history. Does anyone know the highest rated?[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 11:38 AM. Reason : x]

go rutgers
11/6/2006 11:38:32 AM
we have louisville at home next year
11/6/2006 11:39:15 AM
If we're lucky Brohm and Bush will both leave. There are some rumors that both will stay but personally I don't see it. If they win the NC they are DEFINITELY gone but if not I wouldn't be surprised to see Brohm, at least, stay since his family is already loaded.. $$$^^ watch out for Indiana. If you throw up another clunker that team could beat Mich..[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 11:44 AM. Reason : xc]

Go Rutgers
11/6/2006 11:45:45 AM
I know ACC fans are just scared about the Big East. It's been like that for awhile. I would be too if my conference hadn't won a BCS game since '99.(not to Jaybee or Boobs... you guys like teams from conferences that speak for themselves)V It's gotta be like a Auburn or LSU night game.. that would be my guess. Though the FSU-UNC game a decade ago was a Sat night ESPN game too I think...[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 11:51 AM. Go Scarlet Knightsedit: interesting tidbit on highest rated thursday night game...no idea which game ranks #1 overall, though[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 11:48 AM. Reason : .]
11/6/2006 11:48:18 AM
^^ oh oh, they arent going to like that...
11/6/2006 11:54:45 AM
the texas-ohio state game last year was probably rated higher. that was a damn good game.[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 11:59 AM. Reason : personally, that's my #1 ESPN game ever.][Edited on November 6, 2006 at 12:05 PM. Reason : nevermind, that was a regular ABC game]

im pulling for rutgers to beat louisville then lose to wvu so florida can get some gamage on.

It does not matter if Brohm and Bush go pro next year because UL will still beat us by 35 or more. Especially if the clown is still coaching.
11/6/2006 12:16:56 PM
I WILL BE WATCHING THIS ONE.....THESE TEAMS ARE FOR REAL.....THEY MAY NOT BE THE CALIBER OF A WAKE FOREST BUT STILL GOOD FOOTBALL
11/6/2006 12:18:40 PM
yeah, cause if you beat WV you are 4 reel
11/6/2006 12:19:38 PM
^WAY TO STEP UP YOUR GAME AGAINST LSU......HAVE FUN IN THE PEACH BOWL THIS YEAR FAGGOT
11/6/2006 12:23:56 PM
you mean that game that they were one play away from winning with a backup redshirt freshman QB playing in his first real game against the #1 defense in the country and where they also had the best D-lineman out, starting RB out, starting CB out? You are right, they did step up. Thanks for the support.[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 12:27 PM. Reason : d]
11/6/2006 12:25:31 PM
AFTER THEY GOT BEAT...THEY WENT OUT TO THE BAR AND GOT BEAT AGAIN THEN PUT IN THE SLAMMER.....GG

Ironically the ACC being in the shitter this year might prevent WVU from going to a BCS bowl. There is a very real possibility that the ACC champ will be below 16th in the BCS thus allowing Boise St, if they are b/t 13 and 16 in the BCS to take an at-large bid. That would be one less at large. Then if ND loses one more they will be selected for the Gator Bowl leaving WVU to go to the Sun Bowl.. that would be ironic.. However, that would also mean the ACC would be up for review for the BCS bid since they would have the average of the last 5 BCS bowl participants lower than 12. They won't take it away but it would be eligible for review.I say GT finishes in the Top 12 anyway, so it will be moot.[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 12:30 PM. Reason : though they may have taken away that review thing after WVU beat UGa last year.. I think they did?]
11/6/2006 12:28:58 PM
I am just fucking with you... WV rulesthe shitter
11/6/2006 12:35:19 PM
WVU is the second best football team in the state of West Virginia.
11/6/2006 1:00:43 PM
11/6/2006 1:09:48 PM
talk about the acc having no domianant teams all you want but they are not in the shitter. the acc has only 2 bad teams.the whole conference is good thats why nobodys great[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 1:17 PM. Reason : beating each otehr up]
11/6/2006 1:17:04 PM
It was hyperbole. I know it isn't in the shitter. Though I do feel Duke, UNC, and UVa are the worst bottom 3 of any BCS conference.... by far.[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 1:20 PM. Reason : still ironic that the ACC having no dominant team will push WVU to the Sun Bowl though.]
11/6/2006 1:19:46 PM
Go rutgers
11/6/2006 1:20:35 PM
I wouldn't say the whole conference is good. the whole SEC might be good, but this year, the ACC is very mediocre
11/6/2006 1:33:19 PM
^I agree. The ACC fucking blows this year
11/6/2006 1:33:57 PM
to compare the ACC to the SEC is disgusting. hcnguyen should be beaten to death.
11/6/2006 4:41:05 PM
^i didnt compare acc to sec jackass. sec has 5 teams better than the entire acc.bama usc and uga would be random acc teamsbut everybody except duke and unc are better than miss state vandy ole miss kentuckyacc is 10 teams strong from the bottom. but the top of other conferences are better. 5 sec2 pac102 big 101 big 122 big eastteaams would all be the best in the acc but after that the acc is strong with good teams.[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 4:52 PM. Reason : just because a conf is weak at the top doesnt mean its shitty. acc only has 2 shitty teams. 10 good ]
11/6/2006 4:52:15 PM
so you exclude the bottom two in the ACC but not the bottom two in the SEC?I would say 1-2 good teams, a lot of average teams, and 2 really bad teams[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 4:54 PM. Reason : d]
11/6/2006 4:54:30 PM
i bet vandy would wipe the floor with half the ACCedit/note: i said you were comparing them by talking about good teams ruining each others records. as you've shown, no other conferences really experience that problem except the SEC (for the most part). i agree with the statement that the ACC teams are mostly just decent, not spectacular.[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 5:22 PM. Reason : .]
11/6/2006 5:19:51 PM
the unc and duke half
11/6/2006 5:21:14 PM
they beat UGA and did alright vs UF/Arkansas.
11/6/2006 5:23:52 PM
I wouldnt say wipe the floor, but they could hold their own... [Edited on November 6, 2006 at 5:28 PM. Reason : d]
11/6/2006 5:27:03 PM
11/6/2006 5:28:25 PM
fair enough. it was a bit of an exageration, but considering they are on the bottom of the east division, thats pretty good.
11/6/2006 5:28:55 PM
im going to challenge your minds with a thought for a minutewhy exactly is the 5 sec teams ranked so high though? because they beat each other? and don't lose to the other 7 teams who did they beat out of conference? cal? why is cal so high? becauuse they destroyed weak pac10 teams? what about duke vs alabma and wake vs ole miss? what about arkanssas usc. look at it this way. i could tell you wake bc gt vt and maryland are all top 15 teams at te beginning of the season and it could hold true all the way until now. sure maryland lost to wvu but who is to say wvu coudlnt beat a top 5 sec team? they destroyed the sec champion last yearand sure gt lsot to nd but for all we know nd could be the #2 team in the country only capable of lossing to michigan. michigan could beat osu just as bad. what if nd pounds usc? you just don't know most of these things until the bowls reveal a little.take a second to really think about it and its wierd. is this what is being done with the sec? prove it
11/6/2006 5:32:50 PM
I couldnt follow half of that post.... but I got this part out of it:
11/6/2006 5:41:07 PM
well sure arkansas lost to USC, but it took the awesome ...oregon sta.... NM IGNORE THISseriously though, i dont get your last question, but your point seems to be that no one can compare conferences b/c most of the teams arent playing big ranked people from other conferences save for a few major games (which may not be representative). rankings are never going to be precise, but there is some merit to them.
11/6/2006 5:41:34 PM
^^but it doenst say any message to you when the worst conference comes out on the best conference 28-0 in the first quarter?
11/6/2006 5:54:05 PM
like I said, anyone can win one game, but the long haul is the hard part
11/6/2006 5:55:06 PM
but there is no long haul. you act like the top 5 sec teams are constatnly beating the top 5 teams from the other conferences.
11/6/2006 6:01:42 PM
I am talking about in conference you fucking dumbshit if you could read my god damn posts
11/6/2006 6:02:38 PM
i guess everyone that ranks and watches football is completely off base with the SEC being any good. they should really start ranking the ACC teams from 1-5 each year.[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 6:07 PM. Reason : \/ im commenting on his knowing more than everyone else in the world]
11/6/2006 6:03:04 PM
?
11/6/2006 6:05:22 PM
im just saying preseason rankings dont mean much. they are wrong about alot of teams and right now the sec teams are ranked highly solely off preseason and beating other sec teams that are ranked high soley off preaseson (its like a domino effect)how do we knwo the sec isnt 5 miamis? (ranked like 9 preseason)the arkansas usc game was alot worse than the miami ville game....[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 9:41 PM. Reason : miami]
