Unfortunately you're going a few years too early. Part of the agreement with the city for the new Mets stadium was that they are doing a revitalization of downtown Flushing and the surrounding areas. Right now it's a lot of chop shops and crap but in a few years the Bay area and the downtown area will be full of bars, eateries, and new apartments. I don't like Asian cuisine but I hear that Flushing has better authentic restaurants than Chinatown..

Ask TKE-Teg. He lives in Astoria and I'm sure he knows some shit to do in Woodside..

Abso-freaking-lutley.

This is because they are predominately Taiwanese. Every major city that has a chinatown has a "little taipei" in the suburbs that is always much, much better than the dirty inner-city "chinatown.

I guess I wont be staying in Woodside very much but it would be nice to know what there is around there. I found two thai restaurants that are said to be the best.

Go to main st. then look for a church look around there the place is called "Gu Xiang", sorry I don't know the english name but you can ask around. It's next to a bakery.

Then on Northern Blvd. turn on main st. go over bridge restaurant is across the street from starbucks there is a another good one but I forgot the name.... I'll think of it.

Sorry, I don't know anything about Woodsides. Its the next neighborhood over from me in Astoria. But I've got a lot of stuff close to me here in Astoria, and I spend even more of my time in Manhattan. So I don't know anything about Woodsides.
