Nugs probably won't pick up his option for the 2007-2008 season.from rockymountainnews.com:

im sorry i loved hodge when he was here, but i felt it was a waisted draft pick by the nugs
10/25/2006 10:42:43 AM
I think the only roster in the league he could make would be the Bobcats. The end of our bench is horrible, winning isn't our main concern right now (we're not gearing up for a playoff run anytime soon), and he might bring some more local media attention to the team.Other than that he's looking at the CBA or overseas. The main Euroleagues would expose him. You can't play over there without a jumpshot. He doesn't really have the talent for the NBA right now.
10/25/2006 10:44:47 AM
the nuggets management are a bunch of idiots. Their roster currently has 7 people that play guard, and that's after they released a guy last week. Picking Hodge was just a waste of a pick and his skill, especially after the coaching staff said they don't like to play rookies. I hope Hodge can get picked up by another team next season and can be productive.
10/25/2006 10:54:21 AM
i wouldnt mind him being on the Bobcats
10/25/2006 10:55:52 AM
the bobcats don't need another G/F that can't shoot
10/25/2006 10:56:32 AM
^^wouldnt mind him? I'd love for Hodge to come to the Bobcats
10/25/2006 11:01:07 AM
as far as thinking it would be a waist of money, or that he wouldnt be good enough to get on the courti dont think he would hurt us, so i wouldnt mind him being here
10/25/2006 11:03:24 AM
he wouldnt be a waste of money because we could sign him for the league minumum. We're under the salary cap FLOOR right now anyway so basically we are just wasting money anyway.
10/25/2006 11:05:18 AM
we get kickbacks from the teams that are over currentlyi know we could get him real cheap, but i doubt they consider it
10/25/2006 11:06:45 AM
we need a shooter and he cant shoot, but we also just need somebody to score. we only have a handful of people that know how to do that. i'd like to see if any of hodge's intangibles that allowed him to score so many points without a solid jumpshot could carry over to the nba level. i mean it wouldnt take much for him to be a 3rd option off the bench. its worth a shot, especially when you have kevin burleson as your 3rd option right now.
10/25/2006 11:07:53 AM
I'd like to see Hodge put Paul in headlock in the middle of a Bobcats game, while on the same team
10/25/2006 11:09:14 AM
^hahaid like to see any State players on the Bobcats
10/25/2006 11:10:04 AM
shit go get Josh Powellhe would be for real[Edited on October 25, 2006 at 11:13 AM. Reason : >.<]
10/25/2006 11:10:41 AM
fuck the pacers sucks for josh to have to hang around stephen jackson.
10/25/2006 11:23:46 AM
What you say nigga??
10/25/2006 11:29:26 AM
fucker is gonna shoot me now
10/25/2006 11:39:17 AM
"and then i pulled out my GUN!"
10/25/2006 11:39:58 AM
I blame Herb.
10/25/2006 11:54:04 AM
^in a way, I do too.His jump-shot was never consistent through his career. Herb should have helped him re-invent or at least work on it at some point over 4 years. (see Ray Felton from his soph. to junior years)
10/25/2006 11:58:22 AM
FYI. George Karl never wanted Hodge. the nuggets former GM picked Hodge.
10/25/2006 12:00:22 PM
pretty much
10/25/2006 12:02:52 PM
why did hodge get shot again?
10/25/2006 12:04:40 PM
^ because he is black and was hanging out with Stephen Jackson duh!
10/25/2006 12:07:32 PM
I think it was cause he hit Steve Blake in the head, and everyone knows you don't fuck with a skinny wigger unless you wanna get shot
10/25/2006 12:07:47 PM
10/25/2006 12:13:27 PM
fucking spell check nazi...if you don't have shit to say, then get the fuck out. pussy.oh, and Hodge needs a jumper.
10/25/2006 12:17:21 PM
agree
10/25/2006 12:20:15 PM
we all know hodge got shot because he was in the nba...all "good college kids" magically turn into "nothing but thugs" once they go to the nbafuck hodge anyway...who cares about the most exciting bball player for state in recent history...he's in the nba now...all he cares about is money and being a thug
10/25/2006 12:25:55 PM
let's all face the facts. As much of a good player and good kid Hodge was whilst at NC State, he was a kid from New York who always fashioned himself as a thug. It has nothing to do with the NBA (or its image). He was probably acting like a thug at the club he was at beforehand and ended up getting shot for it.
10/25/2006 12:56:26 PM
yeah he was probably "acting like a thug" which in turn means he probably deserved to be shotlet alone the fact that he lived in HARLEM for 18 years and never got shotlets assume some more
10/25/2006 1:05:35 PM
10/25/2006 1:09:12 PM
No one said he deserved to get shot. But acting like an idiot in front of, or towards, the wrong people, can get you shot.No one drives up beside a moving car and shoots into it randomly. Well maybe they do, but that sure as shit isn't what happened in this case.
10/25/2006 1:12:32 PM
^how do you know what happened?my initial thoughts after i heard the first stories were that he was shot in some beef that he had nothing to do with...he is from Harlem...rapper Juelz Santana and some of his people were in the club, also from Harlem...who knows if they didnt start shit and somebody came at Hodge afterwards?I would still like to see him in a Bobcats uniform[Edited on October 25, 2006 at 1:18 PM. Reason : .]
10/25/2006 1:17:37 PM
have you ever thought that it might have been a case of mistaken identity? the only people that know shit are the people that were in hodge's car and the one in the shooters car.
10/25/2006 1:21:27 PM
10/25/2006 1:22:12 PM
^^^supposedly he went to the club specifically to see Juelz Santana. They're tight or something. No beef there.I don't know anything more than what I've read about the situation, but most signs point to some sort of thuggish activity resulting in one car shooting into the moving car that Julius was in.^oh and I love Hodge and all, but his game is not what the Bobcats need. Even at the end of the bench.[Edited on October 25, 2006 at 1:24 PM. Reason : .]
10/25/2006 1:22:52 PM
as far as the beef, i didnt mean beef with Juelz...i meant maybe somebody ELSE had beef with juelz, thought hodge was bangin with juelz, and came after hodgeas far as what the bobcats need, they probably dont need him, but you never knowhe hasnt really gotten his opportunity to shine in the nba yet...he didnt get much PT in denver behind carmelo and themnot that he can be the nba equivalent of rivers necessarily, but rivers caught a lot of flak after a couple years in the league when he hadnt done anything...plus hodge was only a rookie last year...dont give up on him yet

I agree that he needs to be given a chance, as in significant minutes for at least part of a season. The fact remains that his jump-shot is sub-par and he's been out of the game for a good while now. If he is gonna make it in the NBA, its gonna take some real hard work.
10/25/2006 1:29:48 PM
yeah if he had a better shot it would be a lot easierbut apparently at State he was quite the gym rat and was really down to put in work to make his game betterso hopefully that will continue
10/25/2006 1:33:00 PM
10/25/2006 1:35:04 PM
^^which is kinda why I blame Herb. Herb shoulda had someone working with him on his shot.[Edited on October 25, 2006 at 1:35 PM. Reason : ^]
10/25/2006 1:35:05 PM
Hodge = no pro SGHe could potentially be a 1, though. A poor man's magic johnson. Or something like that.
10/25/2006 1:38:24 PM
NC STATE RULES!the shitter
10/25/2006 1:54:32 PM
Tennessee is the epitome of NBA basketball greatness
10/25/2006 2:03:43 PM
