i was saying no to checking it out. because really, i have much better things to do with 10 seconds than further cementing my dislike for slipknot.
10/23/2006 4:25:56 PM
all im saying is maybe that ten seconds would be better spent listening to a little heard but remarkably impressive bassline?i wouldnt have mentioned it if i personally didnt think it was the hot shit

^^while impressive at points, there's nothing about that that i would actually want to LISTEN to.
10/23/2006 6:41:42 PM
My favorite all-time bass solo would have to be that break in the middle of Ben Folds Five "Song for the Dumped". It blew my mind when it I was 14. I bet it still would, I'll go put it on.
10/23/2006 6:42:59 PM
I should point out that I'm not talking about bass solos. Victor Wooten is a great bassists, but he doesn't play anything that would really count for the purpose of this thread.I know that Jamerson has been mentioned, and rightfully so, but I've always liked "You Can't Hurry Love" a whole lot. It's simple, but it's not quite as simple as you think...it jumps ahead of the change for two beats in the middle of the chorus and it makes the song.
