i'm looking for something that sells spices (like nutmeg, cloves, etc) in small packages. i don't want the $7 bottle from the grocery store because i only need a little bit. does anyone know anywhere that does this? like a few tablespoons worth.also, fresh market has small bags, but they're still kinda too much (quantity) and i don't know how the prices compare. i mean i guess if there's no where else i'll get it from there, but... anyone, anyone? thanks!

They also sell cinnamon plus mixes that already have ground nutmeg, cloves, allspice, etc in one bottle.

^ not really. the large bottles lose their potency fairly quickly anyways. always better to get as much as you need and ensure you have fresh spices

Just so you know - if you need rosemary, there's a lot of it behind Patterson.

both southern season and world market sell spices in small bags (depending on the spice, they generally cost somewhere between 50 cents and 2 dollars, although most are under a dollar). you can get cheap, old spices at most dollar stores. if you're just using them for potpourri-type stuff and not cooking, they're passable.
