Does anyone have any advice about this class?

Do not miss the normal tests. His make-up tests are comprised of identity terms where you have to provide an essay to define them and give a significance. He also has a big essay at the end of it. He is a real nice teacher and if you have taken notes or at least have gotten the notes from someone you should be in good shape. Read the book and your notes and its an easy A.I ended up with an A in the class eventhough I had to make-up 2 tests but he was surprised at how well I did. Also the essay he assigns as long as you put any work into it, he is generous with it and will usually give you an A if you assesed the subject with enough information from the course as well as from outside sources. Hope that helps, that's his class in a nutshell.

he is blind, his actual tests are 20 question from the notes (worth 3 points each) and then 20 questions from the reading material which is alot (worth 2 points each). On the first test that we've had so far (got the second one on monday), i pretty much studied just strictly his notes and did 0 readings, and it showed on the test. The entire 20 questions from his notes i got all right, then it got to the reading stuff...2 pages of all right answers, and then 2 pages of pretty much guesses and X's. However, his final that he has told us about, is 75 questions...and we took a pretest in the beginning of the semster, 50 questions, that are all on the final, and they gave us back the pretest with corrected answers, so essentially the final is 25 questions with 50 questions you jus got to memorize the answers...so the final should actually help your grade.
