"Explosions Reported At Apex EQ Plant

POSTED: 12:21 pm EDT October 18, 2006

APEX, N.C. -- Apex authorities have received multiple reports of explosions at the site of the Environmental Quality Industrial Services Plant which caught fire on Oct. 5. Roads surrounding the facility have been blocked off.

Apex police said construction crews were working with a barrel that contained an unknown substance when it caught fire.

Although the fire is contained, emergency officials have evacuated nearby businesses as a precaution."

i don't think i ever saw one homeless person when i lived there.

the cops would have followed him and found some assinine law he broke---they have nothing else to do asside from handing out tickets for 3 over the speed limit

I don't know if she is homeless, but there is this fat pygmy woman who always approaches people and says her mother just died and she needs gas money to go to Goldsboro. She's been pulling that for a few years now. This lady smells absolutely wretched if she gets within 10 feet of you.

She's more around Holly Springs though.

eh...it's what I'm craving at the moment. if you like the bifteki and go in for lunch, ask nick (the chef during the day) to make it on a dill bun with cheese, tomato, onion and a little of the homemade tartar sauce they give with the calamarakia. soooo good.

Ha. I was once "lucky" enough to get by on a warning in a very similar situation.

Officer: Do you know how fast you were driving?
Me: About 57 (in a 55).
Officer: Well I'm just going to give you a warning this time blah blah.

Guilford County cops are the worst.

Back on topic...

They should totally rebuild the plant.

yeah so back to the story, lol...

NO BIG DEAL

-Same plant as before
-One localized 55-gallon drum (which is outisde the building and in the open) on fire emitting some noxious, white smoke
-Some nearby businesses evacuated, but no residents evacuated and the Apex Mayor doesn't anticipate any other evacuations

So, what is the over/under on how long it will take someone to sue over how the latest explosion made their house decrease in value because the whole nation now knows not to move to Apex.
