What's up, Wolfpack. Our school is in a competition with 19 other schools across the nation. We are now part of the Smile State program, sponsored by Crest Whitestrips. The top 4 schools will win a block party and concert from an artist that we choose - all sponsored by a major record label.Winners are determined by which school gets the highest percentage of students to join the Facebook group. Members of the group will also get access to free movie screenings way before they hit theaters, free concerts, and other events. I'll also be giving away free stuff on campus. So please join www.facebook.com/smilestate and invite all your friends from State! The other schools have been talking trash about us and we're predicted to drop out of first place if we don't keep getting new members. Thanks! Go Wolfpack.

Be adivsed, if we win the school administration will go out of their way to neuter any potential fun from this event.

Haha sorry I know some might think that this is shameless advertising because of the corporate sponsorship. But it's also a student project all for the students. We will be backed by UAB and other on-campus organizations. So while Crest is putting money into this, its all for the students. And I'm gonna be pissed if one of the other schools wins. Thanks for the support =)

The contest ends around December. So if we win, I will be spending second semester preparing for our end-of-year block party. I can get more specific on the end date later. Spread the word

Alright, so I'm organizing our first free event. I'm looking for DJs and comedians to perform at our show. We will be showing a screening of We Are Marshall. I've got some prospective DJs in mind, but if anyone thinks that they can do a good job, let me know. Hit me up with some feedback about what you want to see at the show. Any other musicians are welcome too. Bands, emcees, etc. We're gonna shake up Witherspoon.
