10/15/2006 4:23:07 PM
hahaahhahahahahahahahahayea, I guess you dont do you?
10/15/2006 4:25:05 PM
If we defeat Mar,Vir then maybe. But we definitely should be ranked if we beat Gt. Fact.
10/15/2006 4:25:31 PM
aha, wtf is this
10/15/2006 4:26:08 PM
^^ are you fucking joking??? if you beat Maryland and Va, you should get a cookie. They are god awful. No maybe to it.[Edited on October 15, 2006 at 4:26 PM. Reason : d]

You just don't WANT us to be ranked. Thats all.

10/15/2006 4:33:42 PM
cal is ranked ahead of tennessee?interesting
10/15/2006 4:35:30 PM
10/15/2006
10/15/2006 4:36:15 PM
we will be ranked after Gt.
10/15/2006 4:36:42 PM
lmao at the big east
10/15/2006 4:36:55 PM
^^ die.^ what about it? 3 teams in the Top 16?
10/15/2006 4:41:27 PM
and they are all behind some one loss teamssadly ranked and ncstate are two far away words right now. we need to win trhough clemson to be ranked[Edited on October 15, 2006 at 4:44 PM. Reason : meh]
10/15/2006 4:43:04 PM
Screw NC State being ranked. It serves no purpose. Lets just make it through one game at a time.
10/15/2006 4:43:29 PM
yeah, the big east is in better shape than I thought they would be
10/15/2006 4:43:38 PM
10/15/2006 4:44:28 PM
i thought they took sos out the bcs
10/15/2006 4:45:08 PM
yeah, but they're going to beat up on each other and the losers will drop.
10/15/2006 4:45:40 PM
10/15/2006 4:46:41 PM
the three biggest suprises to me are:1. Auburn being that high2. Cal being ahead of Tenn (bullshit)3. Tulsa hahahaha
10/15/2006 4:46:56 PM
Yes they are but if one team wins out then I'm saying they'd jump the 1 loss teams..About SOS. It's not a main component but it's in every computer ranking, which is a main component.
10/15/2006 4:47:10 PM
So this year, one non-BCS team has to get in as long as they are top 12, right?
10/15/2006 4:48:25 PM
right now the national championship game will include the winners of these 3 games if they all win out until then:Ohio State/MichiganLouisville/WVUSC/ND
10/15/2006 4:49:37 PM
I'm not being pessimistic. I just don't care that much about our ranking. I'd rather us make it through each game and fly under the radar.[Edited on October 15, 2006 at 4:50 PM. Reason : ]
10/15/2006 4:50:31 PM
^^ If Auburn wins out, gets into the SEC Championship and beat Florida again (or Tenn), they would get in before ND even if they beat USC
10/15/2006 4:57:25 PM
^ But USC destroyed Arkansas at Arkansas and Arkansas beat Auburn at Arkansas. So if Notre Dame beat USC at USC, by the law of progression Notre Dame would be a better team than Auburn. Now, Michigan...
10/15/2006 5:04:03 PM
but what about tennessee?...and clemson[Edited on October 15, 2006 at 5:05 PM. Reason : still alive]
10/15/2006 5:04:57 PM
NyM410 is a reeeal big supporter of pack ball.

^^^ but only fools believe in shit like that[Edited on October 15, 2006 at 5:06 PM. Reason : d]
10/15/2006 5:05:57 PM
we need a tournamentthen we'll see who the real teams arethere is no other wayevery other method is subjective bullshit that produces fake championships
10/15/2006 5:06:58 PM
^^^ you're god damn right I am. I'm just not a cheerleader and won't buy into false hype. Come game time I'll be there cheering for the Pack to win as much as anyone else..[Edited on October 15, 2006 at 5:07 PM. Reason : k]
10/15/2006 5:07:37 PM
^^^ So you're saying that if A beats B and B beats C, than A is not a better team than C.Question then, since good college football teams try not to play each other, you think subjectiveness is the only way to determine the better team then? What do you think this is, boxing?Besides, look at this order for a second in regards to Notre Dame.1 Ohio State2 USC 3 Michigan 4 Auburn 5 West Virginia 6 Florida 7 Louisville 8 Notre Dame Assume they run the table. That means they will go by #2 since they beat them.#5 and #7 play each other and Notre Dame would pass one of them.#4 and #6 would meet in the SEC championship game if they both won every remaining game.#1 and #3 are playing the last weekend of the year. Not sure what voters would do if ND was high up and Michigan has one loss, but poll voters are all about what have you done for me lately. So by that alone they're up to 4th, and that's assuming the other 3 teams don't lose another game along the way.[Edited on October 15, 2006 at 5:14 PM. Reason : /]
10/15/2006 5:07:56 PM
you can use the A beat B, B beat C etc argument to find some retarded shit. Lets see, State beat BC who beat clemson... but akron beat state, but then akron lost to central mich... therefore Central Michigan is better than clemson.and what do you mean good teams dont play each other?
10/15/2006 5:11:15 PM
Jaybee1200 are you for us or against us?
10/15/2006 5:12:04 PM
for of course... but what does that have to do with anything in this thread?
10/15/2006 5:13:25 PM
the A beat B beat C bullshit is for the computers...and communistsgames are played on the fucking field, so that kind of logic is fucking mooti swear we need some fucking brackets at the end of the season
10/15/2006 5:14:46 PM
please forgive the broken record...but can you imagine the fucking AWESOME matchups we'd see in a bracketted tourney?
10/15/2006 5:15:45 PM
10/15/2006 5:15:52 PM
10/15/2006 5:17:21 PM
Look, if Auburn runs the table from here on out and ND beats USC, they will be ahead of USC and ND if all three of them have one loss each... book it.11-1 in the SEC > 11-1 in any other conference[Edited on October 15, 2006 at 5:18 PM. Reason : d]
10/15/2006 5:18:08 PM
the abc thing only works one time. team a beat team b who beat team c so team a is better than team c. it doenst work if you put a 4th team into it or team c has a better record than team c. team a and c must have the same record
10/15/2006 5:18:41 PM
10/15/2006 5:20:55 PM
yes, until we get brackets, and even when we do get brackets, we'll need R2D2 to tell us what teams' relative rankings are. but i'll be damned if the current way of doing things is producing an objective #1.[Edited on October 15, 2006 at 5:26 PM. Reason : spellingisms]
10/15/2006 5:22:15 PM
^^ ok, you getting borderline ignorant...as I stated above, A beat B beat C etc is bullshit, e.g C.Michigan is better than Clemson????there are TONS of factors that could explain how arkansas got killed by USC but then beat Auburn aside from "USC is better than Auburn".
10/15/2006 5:24:40 PM
there is no abc combination that puts cmichigan with clemson. that is like abcdeit only works for abc and if one of the teams has a better record you wouldnt even need to use it. this is only for teams that have the same # of losses.
10/15/2006 5:27:02 PM
oh, is that the official rule? I didnt see that on the BCS website, my fault.
