Due to scheduling reasons, I am considering taking FLF 302 [Survey of French Literature from Romanticism to the Contemporary Period] Spring semester and take FLF 301 [Survey of French Literature from the Middle Ages through the Enlightenment] the following Fall. I have asked my adviser, and he approved taking them out of sequence, but said that I would be missing 'context'. Is this really a problem? For those who have taken 302, how much did it build on 301?
