you know, i always thought a camera on a phone was STUPID as could be, until i found the exact phone that i wanted that just happened to have a camera on it...i can honestly say there have been a couple of times where i've been glad to have it...do i need 10mp? of course not, but i guess if it came with my phone and i wanted a camera, i'd rather have a decently detailed picture than some tiny, grainy one

the only shitty thing about camera phones is that you damn near can't find a phone without a camera any more. They're completely ubiquitous. My g/f got a job at a defense contractor that does not allow cameras on their campus. (they've relaxed the rules just because nobody can buy a phone without a camera)

i can't justify spending close to $1000 for a camera phone

the only situation i could ever come up with in which it would be beneficial to have a phone with a camera is the event that you get into a wreck or some other situation where you'd need to document something legally and wouldn't be carrying a camera.any other time you might as well have a camera with you.

^ Same here. I started road cycling this past year and the all too frequent run ins with assholes who don't think we have a right to be on their road has made me wish I could document their swerving at our group as they rode along yelling profanity at us and accelerating in front and then cutting us off while locking up their breaks.

tons of times mine has come in handy, and I am definitely in the "what the fuck am i going to need this for" crowd.10mp would be awesome, so I can capture insanely large, badly lit, blurry and badly focused images instead of the 1.3mp badly lit, blurry, badly focused images of today.^^^ 900 bucks aint bad, in the US market it will end up being like 400-500 if it makes it here[Edited on October 12, 2006 at 12:32 PM.
