Will be a tough game, hopefully we give them their first (or second) loss.20-13 Panthers[Edited on October 9, 2006 at 12:44 AM. Reason : ]
10/9/2006 12:44:28 AM
20-17 Panthers, its gonna be a close game but Delhomme will make a 4th quarter comeback[Edited on October 9, 2006 at 12:51 AM. Reason : .]
10/9/2006 12:50:20 AM
we need to play better...thats really all ive got.ok Kasay 43 yd FG in final 15 seconds to win 23-20[Edited on October 9, 2006 at 12:52 AM. Reason : ok nevermind, here..]
10/9/2006 12:51:28 AM
the way we've been playing...i dont see us pulling this one out ravens - 16panthers - 9
10/9/2006 12:55:03 AM
unless the o matches juju13 ravens10 panthers
10/9/2006 12:59:19 AM
i really dont see us pulling this one out either unless the D steps up BIG. i doubt we will get more than 200 yds on offense, if that.course smitty could have a burr in his ass from dropping 3 balls and put up a performance.
10/9/2006 1:41:48 AM
the chargers would have beaten them if they didnt have herb sendek for a coach. we have a chance
10/9/2006 1:43:40 AM
Ravens 20, Panthers 10
10/9/2006 1:47:53 AM
the only thing that matters in this game is how good our defense playsif our defense plays good we will win the game
10/9/2006 3:29:01 AM
that's not truethe D needs to be GREAT and the O needs to move the ball and score a fewand special teams need to not be bad
10/9/2006 3:31:03 AM
honestly i'm glad they played so shittynot converting a 3rd down helps give john fox more reason to work them extra hard this weeki bet sunday they come out and dominateif our d keeps creating turnovers our offense will do enough to win the game
10/9/2006 3:34:03 AM
the D got lucky on the int, just fell into marshall's lapthe pressure was good, but the secondary (lb's) need to cover more ground and get into the passing gamethey need to really limit the ravens posessions
10/9/2006 3:39:50 AM
i didnt post this in the other thread, but i called the second int...was about 4 minutes left when i called itanyways, i dont think the first one was that lucky either...looked like a standard int for the panthers, the second int was easy...peppers played a great game(dude was a beast)it started getting shakey when the browns had like a 5 minute drive in the 3rd quarter, then we had a 3 and out and then they got it again...they looked a little tired on defenseif they dont do any of that, and they play like they did today i think with their offense(next weeks its gonna click better than today) they are gonna win[Edited on October 9, 2006 at 3:50 AM. Reason : .]
10/9/2006 3:50:25 AM
as long as they cut down on the completionsit seemed like frye threw less than 8 incompletionsthe run obviously needs to be stopped firs thoughand be opportunistic on o
10/9/2006 3:57:12 AM
honestly i didnt think that guy played all that good...we always were making him run around, and he didnt complete that many imo...maybe its different when you are there-it seemed like all their catches were like 5 yard passes(not like panthers put up any big plays either, lol)i think they need to open up smith and keyshawn, the running game will come with thatbtw- whats up with smith dropping all the catches?honestly i dont think our offense even needs to play all that good...our defense sets the pace of the game, and the offense gets the job donei think the panthers are very blue collar
10/9/2006 4:00:34 AM
I have no idea why smith dropped those 3 passes, definitely out of characterI agree, get the running game going, then open up the play action and go downfieldsomething they hesitated to do yesterday, try and hit smith downfieldwhat's the update on deangelo?
10/9/2006 4:08:20 AM
idk after that play it took me like a minute to realize someone was hurt and that it was himi didnt think it'd be that bad, hear its something with his ankle
10/9/2006 4:12:25 AM
i agree with you that most often you get the running game going and then it opens up the passing gamebut the panthers are not the conventional football teami think if they realize quick the running game isnt going to work they should open up the field and not spend all game hoping it comes alivei know foster got over 100 yards but he had to fucking work like crazy to get it
10/9/2006 4:15:19 AM
you rightit looked like his anklethe thing I want to see is the deshaun/deangelo running game, a little change of paceand hit deshaun coming out of the backfieldalso the secondary needs to step up
10/9/2006 4:18:01 AM
honestly, i know i might catch some shit for this...but i've always considered minter slightly over ratedhe doesnt do a lot to make himself look "bad", but he doesnt do a whole lot of shit to look "good" eitherhes like "ok"...i think gamble has the potential but keeps making dumb ass playsyo our special teams has GOT to step it up also...if the browns had a good offense they woulda killed us with the punt return yards giving them the good field position[Edited on October 9, 2006 at 4:22 AM. Reason : lucas was pretty good today...i almost want to pray for morgan to not get hurt anymore]
10/9/2006 4:21:22 AM
minter is not only a solid player, but he is invaluable in the locker room. he is experienced and smartnow, his play is not always on par, that int is the first i have ever seen him make and he is often out of positionlucas, gamble and marshall are solid cb's and will get their picksthe free safety is our major weakness and the lb's need to get better at coverage
10/9/2006 4:26:09 AM
idk, but honestly if you think about it, the panthers d and the panthers o should be enough to beat any team if both sides played to the best of their ability
10/9/2006 4:31:51 AM
trueand they need a good first down on both sides3rd down suck all around
10/9/2006 4:33:20 AM
another thing i cant stand that the panthers do is find a play that works(example- run foster got on a drive...run went to the left(think it was a screen) and had like 3 blockers in front)- that play went for 11 yardsthen they did that 2 more times IN THAT DRIVE...the second and third times were either short gains or like no gainsi hate when they do that
10/9/2006 4:37:34 AM
yeah i think the panther offense's biggest problem is the play calling, this will be their biggest test yet,
10/9/2006 10:46:45 AM
I wore my steve smith jersey todayim uber cool
10/9/2006 11:10:24 AM
I had a dream the panthers won 32-6, so I'll go with that
10/9/2006 11:38:25 AM
Williams has a sprained ankle.....Questionable for the Ravens game.http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/sports/football/nfl/carolina_panthers/15717874.htm
10/9/2006 7:22:09 PM
20 15Smith & Keyshawn both grab a TD. Kasay nets two field goals. Ravens get a safety, hence the 15.
10/9/2006 7:28:45 PM
i am not agreeing with the notion that the D has to be amazing. The Raven's offensive juggernaut is not all that scary. O needs to step up
10/9/2006 7:31:04 PM
big game, smith will step up and make the big play, allowing johnson to step up and the run game to spread out.27-20 panthers
10/9/2006 7:32:20 PM
its gonna be a dog fightpanthers 12, ravens 0
10/9/2006 7:44:13 PM
i'm gonna go with like 17-14 panthersits gonna be ugly
10/9/2006 8:40:38 PM
ravens on mnf=panthers winning sundaybook it
10/10/2006 12:07:08 AM
panthers 23ravens 6
10/10/2006 12:19:51 AM
top
10/11/2006 2:12:56 PM
I searched for this and couldn't find it, sorry for the dup thread. Key to the game: "The Panthers are 6-0 all-time (including the playoffs) when DeShaun Foster rushes for 100 yards and 10-0 when he rushes for 70 yards."
10/11/2006 2:13:48 PM
^ehhh........I guess you can't go wrong with too much panthers
10/11/2006 2:15:49 PM
Ravens have a good run D, I wouldn't put too much stock in that stat.It is much more important that Delhomme, Smith, and Johnson show up big time.
10/11/2006 2:17:49 PM
"Since 2002 (John Fox’s first season as head coach of the Panthers), Carolina is tied for the most take-aways in the NFL with Baltimore (146). The Ravens (90) are the only team to have more interceptions in that time than the Panthers (86)."Maybe we can take the lead.
10/11/2006 2:20:15 PM
we will probably end up still tied, mcnair throwing 2 int's and jake fumbling twice.
10/11/2006 2:26:22 PM
2 THA TOP!!
10/11/2006 9:48:42 PM
after seeing the monday night game, the Ravens are very beatable
10/11/2006 9:50:09 PM
i think our offense has a better chance of scoring on their D than their offense has of scoring on ours. only problem is jake will probably give them a TD, or at least good field position for a FG.
10/11/2006 9:51:12 PM
put weinke in to wear jakes jersey
10/11/2006 9:53:24 PM
The panthers will work the ravens. Steve Smith + Keyshawn > whoever the ravens receivers are. Their D isn't even that great -- Charlie Frye, Rivers, 4th quarter Plummer were able to pass effectively on it.Ravens' defensive stats are deceptive because they are padded by games against crappy offensive teams such as TB, Oakland, Cleveland, Denver, and Martyball.[Edited on October 11, 2006 at 10:00 PM. Reason : df]
10/11/2006 9:55:45 PM
and deangelo is out for the gamealso jake isn't looking like the jake of the regular season thus faronly 1 int*knocks on wood*
10/11/2006 9:58:59 PM
panthers 45 ravens 3
10/11/2006 11:35:37 PM
nah panthers dont get over 30 in this gameno waythe closest to ^ it will be is 30-10
10/12/2006 3:33:42 AM
