when I think of Daniel Evans...I think of all the time we wasted with Stone
10/6/2006 12:52:56 AM
10/6/2006 12:54:14 AM
when i saw stone, i was like where the fuck is our real qb at
10/6/2006 12:55:00 AM
he has no arm.....but he has balls.
10/6/2006 1:00:13 AM
he is very enjoyable to watch...he also places his passes perfectly nearly every time
10/6/2006 1:02:38 AM
power -> noaccuracy -> yes
10/6/2006 1:03:02 AM
He has no arm, accuracy, relies heavily on the jump ball. But as long as we win, im not complaining. Stone can do the same, but just dosn't have any courage.
10/6/2006 1:04:14 AM
how sweet is the no INTs (so. miss didn't matter)
10/6/2006 1:05:01 AM
10/6/2006 1:06:05 AM
^^^ & ^note, without the accuracy to place the ball high where the recievers are, two of the passes tonight would have been picked.[Edited on October 6, 2006 at 1:06 AM. Reason : /]

10/6/2006 1:06:36 AM
^^ yes, some were lasers. some were NOT.
10/6/2006 1:08:04 AM
Anybody who doesn't think he has an arm must have missed the game. Don't have 10,000 yards in hs and not have an arm.
10/6/2006 1:08:11 AM
i dont think you understand what the phrase means. an 'arm' means youve got an accurate AND powerful throw.
10/6/2006 1:09:29 AM
It is a rather difficult task to throw ints' when all of your throws are 20ft high and hugging the sideline. He would have no luck against 6ft + tall db. Our reciever leaped over guys in both games to make plays.
10/6/2006 1:09:38 AM
^^^yes you can with YAC^^^^^ sure some weren't great accuracy wise but they also weren't picks. i'd much rather a bipolar quarterback who makes great throws to HIS recievers or shitty throws to NOONE than one which makes questionable throws all day long[Edited on October 6, 2006 at 1:10 AM. Reason : .][Edited on October 6, 2006 at 1:10 AM. Reason : .]
well no question, but i am just saying he has potential, but still needs major tweaking.
10/6/2006 1:10:44 AM
^x6, the bc int actually helped us, it was 4th down and he got it while already on the ground, lost his team yardage.and evans is a lot better than i gave him credit for. not a very strong arm, but he was really picking his spots tonight.i just hope he doesn't do so well that chuck doesn't replace him with harrison beck next year, am i right?![Edited on October 6, 2006 at 1:12 AM. Hi, I'm Earl.SUPPORT THE TEAM AND COACHBOY, THAT EVANS KID GETS AWAY WITH SOME SHITTY SHIT
10/6/2006 1:19:05 AM
the only team w/ a d that might even possibly be able to own evans is clemPsoni like our chancesfuck stone
10/6/2006 1:25:19 AM
Obviously winning is not important to you want-to-be critics. Saw Evans play many times in high schoo, and he has a laser for an arm. Perhaps you would all be happier cheering tfor UNC so you would have something legit to complain about.

Hi, I'm Earl after a bad loss.SUPPORT STONE! CHEER FOR OUR GUYS!!!!Now I'm Earl after two badass wins featuring (HOLY SHIT) touchdown passes.EVANS IS OKAY, BUT HE'S JUST TAKING ADVANTAGE OF OUR ADVANTAGES. I MEAN, ANYONE CAN SCORE TOUCHDOWNS WHEN THEY INTELLIGENTLY EXPLOIT ANOTHER TEAM'S WEAKNESSES, BUT LET'S SEE EVANS SCRAMBLE FOR TWO YARDS ON THIRD AND TWELVE!
10/6/2006 1:48:29 AM
no, you dolt.YOU think that the only way we will win the ACC is with Marcus Stone. That is incorrect. You are wrong on everything you say about Daniel Evans. He gets the job done. He works well with the current offense. You might love the team, but you suck at analysis.
10/6/2006 1:49:25 AM
i hated the team at 2-4 with davisi loved the team at 7-5 with stonei hated the team at 1-2 with stonei love the team at 3-2 with evansi get pissed when we lose, and i expect change to fix itstaying with stone is not in the best interest of the team now, changing to evans ishey lookim not earl[Edited on October 6, 2006 at 1:51 AM. 10/6/2006 1:50:41 AM
if thats true what you said about me and stone, then why would i continue to say that we'll win WITH evans in the game?^ I never hated our team. I guess that why im the unpopular one up here?[Edited on October 6, 2006 at 1:52 AM. Reason : .]
10/6/2006 1:51:08 AM
Daniel Evans is the greatest!
10/6/2006 1:52:00 AM
We won... that goes a long way...
10/6/2006 1:53:05 AM
when the team is losing, you cant sit there and go "this is acceptable, macfaggot is right, our team is awful"...when the team is winning, you cant say "wow evans sucks, wed do so much better with someone else"example stone. he did play poorly, but he got the job done and went 5-1 at the end of the year. now he's 1-2, and evans is 2-0. the team moved on from jay davis, and now its over stone. for all we know BURKE is the best qb on the team, but who cares? evans is getting it done for the pack and thats what counts. stone didnt this year, and davis never did.
10/6/2006 1:56:06 AM
I NEVER said that evans sucked. Someone asked me of my opinion of him "hence the thread title" and I told the truth. This is not the "blowing smoke up evans behind thread". So lets be critical for once. We should all be happy of the win tonight.[Edited on October 6, 2006 at 2:09 AM. Reason : .]

10/6/2006 3:08:41 AM
Wasn't the big deal after River's first few starts how he had an awkward motion and he was letting the recievers make plays on the ball? Seems as though we are doing the same thing here. Not saying Evans is Rivers, but give him a chance to get his arm into the game. It's prolly not as strong as stone, but give him a chance. You don't get 200 yards passing, 3 TD's and 0 INT's without a little bit of arm strength, lets not judge until he develops a bit.
10/6/2006 3:14:36 AM
Arm strength, accuracy, and poise aside (and they're all there), let's also remember this:Because of Daniel Evans, defenses can no longer line up against NC State thinking, "HAY GUYZ, THEY'RE GONNA RUN."

^Faggas far as evans go, he's got some solid accuracy. he can put the ball where it needs to be. i reference the consecutive catches by G. James that led to our first TD and the TD in the corner of the endzone to Dunlap.in these situations, he threw the ball (most times over 10 yards) where only the WR had a chance to catch it. Stone would be able to make this type of throw 1/10 times. And Earl would suck Stone's dick 10/10 times.[Edited on October 6, 2006 at 8:04 AM. Reason : .]

I can't help but smile when I watch this kid play, I can't believe he is doing this well, it's truly remarkable.I can't wait to see him next weekend.
10/6/2006 8:46:56 AM
isnt rolle one of those 6 ft+ DBs????i think evans has a great arm and you have to get credit to our recievers as well
10/6/2006 8:48:29 AM
I cant believe the shit that Earl says. Best line of the thread:
10/6/2006 8:54:16 AM
Evans gave our team something it needed, A QB. Stone was incompetent and could only be productive at handing off the ball and running it himself. He needs to be converted into a tight-end because i think he would be good at it. And When the fuck are we gonna do some trick kick play, I wanna see it. Honestly, our holder is our first string QB
10/6/2006 8:58:24 AM
The stragedy we used tonight probably won't work again. It looked like Evans passed when the DBs weren't looking. If those DBs would have turned around last night the passes would have either been deflected or intercepted. Those were very dangerous passes. But it doesn't matter because WE BEAT FSU AGAIN.
