what do you value in a movie-going experience?

I guess good sound system, and just an enjoyable atmosphere, last one I went to was Brassfield I think if I'm not sure, and the seats and theatre was just horrible in general, and the sound kept going in and out....so just good seats, sound system, and just a nice clean theatre[Edited on October 4, 2006 at 5:32 PM. ^^^ Feature films for $3. You'd better recognize! But the answer to the question is that one on battleground that serves beer and has those super-nice small theaters for independent films.

only theater ive been to in gboro is the greensboro grandeits pretty nice, but it is a "shared market"meaning it doesn't get every movie every week like most theaters because it is in the same area (within 5 miles) of another theater... in another words, both theaters won't ever play the same movie

grande or carosel...they split movies though. take grande over anything.brassfield blows ass. and haha to kernersville.go to the 1.50 place by guilford college if you want to go to a cool old theater.

Kernersville Countryside Cinema is badass. Go see a $3 feature film, then go midnight bowling/karaoke next door afterwards, with dollar budweisers. It's what we always do when I'm staying in Walnut Cove for a weekend.

^^the last time i was in greensboro, the 1.50 theater was closed. i'm waiting for when brassfield turns into a 2nd run theater. it would make a lot of sense (and money).

Terrace Crew what what!

I remember when that Brassfield Cinema opened too. Does this make me old? It used to be the shit back in the day too, but I agree it'd make bank as a 2nd run theater now

Go to the Palladium in High Point(go straight down Wendover past all of the chain stores). Same as the Grande but newer. Lol on the Terrace, old school Grande.

Either carosel or the grande are the best, i think... they've got stadium seating which i really prefer.

The grande is my favorite. But my parents live 10 minutes from the kville theater and it is really cheap so I go there a lot.

NO such thing

Carosel is nice, but whenever I go, I feel cramped(rows are too close together). Grande is better IMO. Paladium looks nice too and it is newer.

The Terrace was my first job. It was built in 1966. Some of the inside looked like it hadn't been renovated since then. I think it was originally one or two screens and kept splitting until it ended up with six. Towards the end of its life it was so dead on weekdays that we could count the number of customers on both hands. So we'd gather in the box office and play Trivial Pursuit, or sometimes "Hit Gene Hackman in the Eye," which basically involved a ball and the giant Enemy of the State banner near the ceiling. The place was ghetto but a good time. Now it is a Macaroni Grill.

^I don't remember that place being that dead. I used to go there a lot. The Grande is the best.
