My roommate was on his way to Bear Rock Cafe (Crossroads) this morning...left from Lake Wheeler Rd. I havent seen him since, and heard from my other roommate that he was in an accident. He was on his blue suzuki motorcycle.
10/1/2006 4:27:25 PM
Hope he's ok
10/1/2006 4:27:58 PM
i hope he is dead
10/1/2006 4:28:59 PM
thanks...heard something about a possible broken hip...but none of us have ANY details at all.[Edited on October 1, 2006 at 4:29 PM. Reason : ^go troll Chit Chat, dude.]
10/1/2006 4:29:16 PM
college kid on a suzuki....i'm betting he deserved whatever injuries he got
10/1/2006 4:39:50 PM
^Nah, he wasnt the type to show off...he's the least likely person to do something like that..honestly. It was a 250 i believe...nothing too fast either.damn...just found out some info...he was on the Crossroads Exit ramp coming from the beltline/US1 and got hit by a car and flipped OVER the guardrail onto the highway below. He'll be ok though. [Edited on October 1, 2006 at 4:41 PM. Reason : .][Edited on October 1, 2006 at 5:06 PM. Reason : .]
10/1/2006 4:40:05 PM
how many hundreds of miles was he going and how many cars did he weave around (or lane split)
10/1/2006 4:41:19 PM
he was ON AN EXIT RAMP...doubt he was weaving through many cars, douche.
10/1/2006 4:42:25 PM
how'd he approach the exit ramp - most crotch rockets will fly down the shoulder to get onto the exit lanethis would fit perfectly with being hit by a car who took the exit lane properly, without expecting a maniac to come screaming towards them on the shoulderI wish this isn't how asshole bikers rode, but it is.[Edited on October 1, 2006 at 4:47 PM. Don't be a dickWe don't know the details yet
10/1/2006 4:47:12 PM
dude, i'm telling you...he JUST got his license...so he was Mr. Super Cautious when he was riding. He told me he was afraid of getting hit, so he signaled WAY early and tried to make sure cars saw him before he switched any lanes. So I HIGHLY doubt he was doing ANY riding on the shoulder.[Edited on October 1, 2006 at 4:48 PM. 10/1/2006 4:48:18 PM
well if thats true, then it really is sad, but i have a hard time giving a suzuki rider the benefit of the doubt

i hope he's okay tamim!

"i have a hard time giving a suzuki rider the benefit of the doubt" maybe thats the reason ASSHOLES pull out in front of me and cut me off when I'm on my bike even though I always obey all the traffic laws and don't do stupid shit while riding. truth is, a lot of the hard riding you see guys doin is much safer then riding around behind assholes like Excoriator who obviously don't give a damn if they cut off a guy on a bike and seriously injure or kill him.... safer to drive hard and defensively and just stay aheadI hope this guy is ok!
10/1/2006 7:57:41 PM
i'm always very careful when i see bikers - they are extremely unpredictableand to answer your assertion, no, it is not safe to speed 100+ mph through thick traffic, splitting lanes, flying down the shoulder, and weaving around cars.but good try at rationalization. you keep pulling that shit - see how far it takes you[Edited on October 1, 2006 at 8:13 PM. Reason : eh]
10/1/2006 8:10:20 PM
nowhere in my response did I say speeding through traffic at 100+ mph was safe, but good try and putting words in my mouth... i did say, however, that hard riding is often safer then riding behind assholes who don't watch where they're going and think that just b/c there car weighs more then your bike they have priority of the road.... and although some bikers may be unpredictable, the percentage of unpredictable drivers is way higher in cars. pretty much everybody who rides a bike has already mastered the concept of driving and obeying traffic laws in a car, whereas many of the dumbasses who are out on the roads driving have not
10/1/2006 8:26:10 PM
lol sounds like i struck a nerve.I stand by what I said - and you getting all defensive over how its ok to "ride hard" is only proving my point.
10/1/2006 8:47:56 PM
yeah you did strike a nerve b/c i'm tired of assholes cutting me off in traffic and pulling out in front of me putting my life in serious danger, and the fact that you stated "college kid on a suzuki... i'm betting he deserved whatever injuries he got" gave me a pretty good idea that you are exactly the kind of asshole i'm talking about!
10/1/2006 9:19:20 PM
you can infer whatever you want from what I said, but you're the one that outright claimed to be a dangerous driver:
10/1/2006 9:25:34 PM
"when I'm on my bike even though I always obey all the traffic laws and don't do stupid shit while riding."i guess reading is another one of your missing skills, along with driving!
10/1/2006 9:35:44 PM
How is obeying all traffic laws and not doing stupid shit "hard riding"?
10/1/2006 9:36:28 PM
i dunno, maybe Excoriator can answer that one for us... but i wouldnt rely on any information this guy gives you, he believes any college student on a bike deserves to have serious injuries
10/1/2006 9:42:46 PM
i like how you couldn't answer the question, given your earlier claims to always driving like a little old granny at all times.
10/1/2006 9:53:45 PM
apparently YOU can't answer the question, i never said i drive dangerously, you said that... and this guy is wandering how obeying traffic laws is driving dangerously, i say it isn't... apprently you have another opinion of it
10/1/2006 9:56:06 PM
10/1/2006 9:59:52 PM
as a motorcycle rider myself, I hope he's ok. What really scares me is that I know a friend who just got a blue 250, and I hope it wasn't him. And for the record, the vast majority of motorcycle/car accidents is the car driver's fault. Also, the first 6 months, and 1-2 year period are the most dangerous for bike riders.
10/1/2006 10:10:22 PM
i'd like to see what those stats look like when you divide harley and other classic motorcycles from crotch-rockets[Edited on October 1, 2006 at 10:13 PM. Reason : s]
10/1/2006 10:12:04 PM

EXCORIATOR - fuck you and the horse you rode in on man. Bill's not an idiot. And he's doin ok everybody!
10/2/2006 12:28:36 AM
yes, motorcycles are harder to see.so all things being equal (including driving skill) you'd expect that they'd have a higher frequency of accidents.I'd still be interested to see what the stats are on accidents w/ crotch-rockets vs. accidents with cruising bikes like harleys and shit.i bet the fault of the biker sky-rockets with the asian bikes
10/2/2006 12:28:54 AM
bill is an idiot
