I know this is getting old you guys, but i really need a car and I'm clueless as to what I'm getting myself into. I'm looking at a car that that the seller already has a clutch kit for. How much would it cost to fix it with the clutch kit already accounted for?

About 4 to 5 hours at anywhere between $75 and $125 per hour.50 bucks to resurface flywheel. You might want to call Happy Jap's in Cary and ask Rex. 467-2884.

^ I second that. Rex does great work and won't rip you off. Say hi to the shop cat while you're there.

Okay, so I'm thinking about getting the car. It's in Wendell and won't run until the clutch is replaced. Could anybody help me get it towed to Raleigh. How much would it cost?

why will it not run? and why not just drive it to raleigh?

The guy says it won't run, I guess because it has no clutch, not sure. But he has the clutch for it, just didn't want to replace it. So if I replace the clutch, it's mine.

Thanks zxappeal, you're pretty helpful since I included year, make, model. I'm not getting the car but I'm still looking for something $2,000-4,000ish. A '99 Corolla seemed a decent deal, but yeah, I was wary initially, I was just looking for possibilities. My current car's pretty much gone, so I need to get a car in the next week or so, and I'm getting desperate.
