I used MediaMan back on my PC however I remember people on here discussing a piece of software available for free for Macs. It was VERY similar and the key feature I am looking for is the ability to scan the UPC code from the box via a webcam. With 500+ DVDs to organize it will still be a huge task!

Mediaman looks cool but it costs $40 I would like to have a list of all my dvds somewhere, along with all kinds of associated synopsis, cast list, reviews etc for each movie i have. I don't care if its online or software I download but free would be grrreat Any ideas?

It's not free, but I've heard some very good things about Delicious Library. It includes the barcode scanning feature that you're interested in. Seems to cost $40.http://www.delicious-monster.com/

If you look for MediaMan Version 2.20 it is free, never asks to register, its only the newer versions you have to pay.
