Yes, I am a computer n00b. Anyways, I bought a hard drive off a friend of mine a while back and I ain't sure how to stick it in. It came in this giant bracket/cage thingy that won't fit in my PC (see the pics), so do I need to find another bracket like my other hard drive has in order to screw it into the case or can I let just hang free?

Also, the ATA cable for the hard drive only has one connector, so could I switch it with the cable that connects the CD and DVD drives? I only use the DVD drive now, so I don't need to have the CD drive connected to anything. Are the cables the same?

unscrew it from the cage and screw on the extra green rails that are on the inside of your pc case. then with the green rails attached, it'll slide into the bay with the rest of your drives
