I already PMed Dan, but I thought I would ask on here. On my mom 93 Lexus LS400, I put the new battery in, and the car started up, but there's no power. Any idea what's wrong?

You need to check all fuses and fusible links, including any under the hood.

what do you mean there is no power? the car wouldn't start without power

the car started up, but the dashboard, radio, lights, etc... don't light up.

sounds like an electrical problem.time to start pulling some fuses

did the head lights work? power accessories like seats, windows, locks? or just dashboard lights and radio?

^the headlights don't work either. All the stuff that requires electrical power like power windows, power locks, all the lights, etc... don't work.

I would look at all the connections at the positive battery cable.

I'm thinkin that it's a fuse, if all of the features in the car don't work then hmmm, pull all the fuses and check them all.

obiously the engine main relay and starter are working, are the brake lights, and ciggarette lighter working, that will narrow it down, if so it will be the fusible link just outside the box with the other four in front of the battery[Edited on September 25, 2006 at 7:24 PM. Reason : its inpossible for the engine to run if the brake lights and cig lighter are dead, same main circuit]
