that's all you've got. PCI or PCIE. Most of your tuners are going to be PCI.and good luck finding a stand alone AGP tv tuner or an ISA one, because I dont think either existin fact, if you find an ISA one, I want to know where, so I can buy one, and build a legacy machine around it so I can entertain myself for 6 minutes

I have a Hauppage WinTV PVR (USB 2).I got it this summer for about $150 and it is very nice, it came with a remote and some cool software.I really don't use it much anymore, I might be willing to part with it if you are interested...

http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/data_pvrusb2.htmlThat is the PVR i have.I've only used it once or twice, so it's in very-new condition.I don't think I could part with it for much less than $120 because it could come in handy in the future. (I've been meaning to record The Office for a while, I just don't have any hard drive space to store it on.)As far as the difference between USB and PCI, I'm not sure. It uses USB 2.0 so the data transfer is fast enough. It also has it's own encoder so it doesn't slow your pc down as much as pci (i think). If you want more detailed specs, just check the link above.

is it a decent card, anyone know
9/21/2006 10:40:58 AM
threads say its good for watching normal cable and hooking up console systems to your comp for recording vids but you don't have component in or hd support. then again you get what you pay for (and in this case a little more)
