Does anyone know who you would contact to report a cab driver for something absolutely INSANE? We called the cab company...they claimed they didn't have that taxi number even though the number is CLEARLY on the car. We called the police, but they cannot do anything unless they witnessed it, although we did file a report. I'm from Los Angeles, they have a Taxi Authority there...What does Raleigh do for complaints such as these?

Not when its your personal dog...and he peeled out of a parking lot at 45mph, and didn't stop...even when being chased down the street.

If you want someone to stop you might try not chasing them down the street.

I honestly just thought maybe he didn't notice he'd hit a dog that was being walked ON A LEASH...

RPD has a taxi inspector - call the desk 890-3335 and get the number, report it therecharges - you can talk to the magistrate in the public safety center downtown (jail) , they may issue a summons or possibly a warrant - but I wouldn't hold my breath.

this is one of those matters that I would take into my own hands

I mean, pretty much seems like thats what we'll have to do....
9/18/2006 3:02:09 PM
is the dog ok?
9/18/2006 3:10:43 PM
The dog isn't dead....I mean, shes completely freaked out by vehicles, and will be w/o use of her back leg for a minute...but shes alive.

I hate that happened, but its good for a dog to be scared/freaked out by cars. They'll learn to avoid the road if they ever get free outdoors. My big dog was hit when he was just a puppy, and he is allowed to run free now because he is terrified of cars and the road and we don't have to worry about him. (We also don't live in the city.)[Edited on September 18, 2006 at 3:35 PM. Reason : ]

your dog being scared isn't a good thingit's a bad thing. What the fuck, your animal having a psychological problem is never a good thing.

^agreed, my dog knew it was not a good idea to be near a road cause he was taught thatthough i do have to say in his old age, he forgot the rules but he was deaf, and fairly blind, poor dog, RIP

get used to it. cabbies are absolutely crazy in this area. sadly to say though, they don't drive much worse than others.

I saw a woman get ticketed at Goodberry's for kicking a dog that nipped at her. It was pretty funny. The dog's owners were screaming and freaking out and the dumb dog was completely oblivious to what was going on.

walking home the other day, i totally thought this bum lady was going to kick my dog... then she says "get away from me........ i have aids!"
9/18/2006 5:46:12 PM
Ok, terrified was not a good word...He does not have a phychological problem, but he knows what a car can do to you if its on the blacktop road. He does not get near the ones down there.[Edited on September 18, 2006 at 6:24 PM. Reason : ]

So you've instilled in your dog an irrational fear of roads. AWESOME.
9/18/2006 6:59:30 PM
I didn't have anything to do with him getting hit. What a stupid thing to say.[Edited on September 18, 2006 at 8:55 PM. Reason : ]
