9/13/2006 12:42:37 AM
i've heard mixed reviews, some good some bad, about this flickbut the title is quite gay (no homo) chick flick gay
9/13/2006 12:44:18 AM
Yeah I know, seems they could have named it better.
9/13/2006 12:49:11 AM
Hahahaha. Someone on IMDB called Zach Braff the voice of our generation. Oh god, I can't stop laughing.
9/13/2006 2:13:24 AM
GG Specter.I actually like that album I'm not afraid to say.
9/13/2006 2:20:22 AM

9/13/2006 11:18:21 AM
It looks pretty good. I was a fan of Garden State, though I didnt like it at first. Ill have to give this one a shot.
9/13/2006 11:33:44 AM

I'm going to check out a sneak preview of this tonight. I'll report back.If nothing else, I think this might confirm Jacinda Barrett as the most successful Real World alum...and she didn't even have to whore herself out on any of those RW/RR challenges.[Edited on September 13, 2006 at 2:59 PM. Agreed

i watched the original italian movie, its very dramatical, definetly not for couples, as its mostly about being unfaithful, young and old
9/13/2006 4:20:12 PM
the screenplay was written by the same guy as Crash and Million Dollar Baby. I saw Zach on Conan last night and he said it was actually a pretty gritty movie and not as chick flicked as it seems on the surface.[Edited on September 13, 2006 at 5:02 PM. Reason : edit]

9/13/2006 5:12:46 PM
^^actually this movie is adapted from the italian one
9/13/2006 5:16:35 PM
Based on, but the merits of the old aren't necessarily those of the new- in fact, that's usually impossible. This one seems to be about getting married rather than having a baby.
9/13/2006 5:39:38 PM
what an incredibly original concept[Edited on September 13, 2006 at 5:48 PM. Reason : gfd]
9/13/2006 5:48:08 PM
its not just the same name, its the same story, dumbass
9/13/2006 9:33:38 PM
what an incredibly original post!^^]
9/13/2006 9:34:38 PM
They don't still use the Italian names!
HEY, LET'S ARGUE!!!
9/14/2006 3:44:03 AM
Well, I saw this last night and...um...I didn't hate it, but I wasn't overly impressed.I'd agree that this isn't a chick flick.[Edited on September 14, 2006 at 10:51 AM. Reason : edit]
9/14/2006 10:51:13 AM
^ ah daaamn....I'll know I'll be dragged to this then... blast! Good thing I like Braff in general, so it cant be that bad.
9/14/2006 11:18:04 AM
saw it tonight, definitely not a chick flick.it's about cheating, the feelings of being "trapped" by marriage/pregnancy when you're not sure if you're ready, etc.GREAT movie. The emotions/scenarios are spot-on (IMO) with how stuff really is.Plus, you get to see Rachel Bilson's breasts, albeit in a darkly lit room
9/16/2006 10:31:21 PM
Good movie there. Saw it tonight, dragged of course Seriously, SouthPaw's right. it had a lot of spot on reactions of how life really is with relationships marriage babies....everything. and actually it made me panic a whole lot less about where i am too. go see it.

I'm so glad to hear that this movie is good. Up until now, the only movie I have totally wanted to see this year, other than this, was CRANK. And that kinda worried me! Although CRANK was a badass movie, its sad when thats the only movie in 8 months that you HAVE to see because everthing is that comes out now is pure shit. However, it has been replaced with this, so I can feel somewhat normal again....I hope....
9/17/2006 12:19:43 AM
worth seeing. makes you think a lot about relationships and life.
9/17/2006 2:41:03 PM
saw it last night. i could understand some people not liking it, but i thought it was pretty good.
9/17/2006 3:58:38 PM
I'm curious to see how different people's reactions are based on gender...as I think it definitely provokes a different reaction. Any other girls seen this?
9/17/2006 5:19:13 PM
My wife agreed with me that the emotions were spot-on. The feeling of being "trapped" before you're about to commit to someone (via marriage or a dedicated live-in parent) was REALLY accurate. When that beautiful stranger approaches you at that time in your life, you're so weak you just go for it so you can have one more surprise. We both agreed basically 100% w/ each other that the feelings were incredibly accurate for both male and female.
9/17/2006 6:19:24 PM
yeah this movie definitely hit close to home with me. i never acted on it like he did, but i ended things with her because i didnt think i should feel like that if i'm in a long term relationship. maybe it's something people have to mature into, but i dont see why you should have to ignore or move past feeling trapped if that's the way you really feel.

finally got around to seeing this movie with the girl this weekend. i thought it was really well done. the characters, story, and acting were extremely realistic especially compared to most hollywood stories about relationships.i know some people thought the ending was weak but i think it fit the movie well
9/24/2006 12:34:07 AM
The ending fit perfect. Not cliche, well done.Usually I get pissed at "hanging endings," but c'mon, we all know if it hadn't ended there, we would've only seen what REALLY happened next, which would've been 2-3 hours of conversation about working things out and getting stuff of their chest. No make up sex. No random "let's get married." It would've been real shit.
9/24/2006 12:44:04 AM
yup
