So me and a friend were at NY for lunch today and the owner was talking to this guy at a table in the back of the place. The guy had pictures of shopping centers and crap. I picked up something about Briercreek, interior changes, and choosing a location for their sign so it'd be best viewable from the road. Maybe the owner's thinking about opening another one up over there?[Edited on September 12, 2006 at 11:45 PM. Reason : -]

Not that i saw but maybe it's further in with all the little shops.Oh well, the owners bullshit wont fly there as easily as it will on hillsborough st.

Renovations then? I dunno.

There is some nasty wanna be "NY Pizza" place over at brier creek called Sal's or smthg...I'm sure thats what you are confusing it with. You know one of those places that throws toppings on top of an already cooked cheese pizza, then adds more cheese on top and sticks it in the oven for 2 minutes. Pretty nasty.[Edited on September 13, 2006 at 12:36 AM. Reason : oven]

it's a chain. prolly opening a new store. durrr.
9/13/2006 12:44:26 AM
^^ Sal's is pretty good if you get an actual new pizza. The NY Pizza chains of Cary (not I Love NY) are decent. My favorite true NY style is Randy's in RTP though.. Good stuff.

Randys is definitely the best Pizza in RTP, which might be like being the best bullfighter in Iceland, but it's still a good deal. NY Pizza's good stuff, too. Wish they stayed open later.

NY Pizza and I ♥ NY Pizza are not the same chain/restaurant.[Edited on September 13, 2006 at 7:30 AM. Reason : -]

My only complaint is that both times we went to NY Pizza (Tryon & Cary Parkway) we had to wait for over a half hour for our food. Once it was a whole Pizza, which was a semi-acceptable time to wait but the other time we just wanted a few slices and still had to wait over 30 minutes. We haven't been back just because we'd rather not risk another long wait.
9/13/2006 9:05:36 AM
i think i'll have ny pizza today
9/13/2006 9:09:27 AM

9/13/2006 9:43:21 AM
Is That's Amore open yet? My wife and I tried to order pizza like a week ago and the phone message siad they were closed until early August.

Sal's is there chain in briar creek, they bought it a while back, pizza is kinda shitty and they are working on changes as all shitty restaurants are bound to do
9/13/2006 10:20:21 AM
hey roxy
9/13/2006 11:16:24 AM
Agreed. the place in Brier creek is awful.
9/13/2006 1:05:47 PM
i've not experienced why you guys think the owner is an a-hole... whats he do?
9/13/2006 1:09:00 PM
It's already open. I ate there last week. I think it's called I heart NY pizza. The shirts in the place reference the Hillsobrough St location and I recognized some of the staff from there.
9/13/2006 10:27:05 PM
