well no shit, but if you buy a hydrogen fueled car, you don't care much at all whether or not h2 stations can be built. you care about whether or not you can fuel up your car.in this case, it'll also run on gasoline for the 95% of the time when h2 is not an option.

My only qualm with hydrogen powered cars is that too much energy is required to separate the hydrogen from other elements, negating any energy savings over a gasoline powered vehicle. If hydrogen can be separated into a pure state and liquified efficiently and inexpensively then we've got a future winner!
