i recently discovered that my front rotors were horrible and i need new ones as well as pads...does anyone here do that kind of work at a reasonable price...with my college budget, taking it to a shop may be detremental to the funds...i am willing to pay someone here for their services...G

Yeah, I do that work. $30 for fronts, $30 for back + parts.

Off topic, but can any shop that works on brakes turn motorcycle rotors, or does that require special equipment?

depends on the diameter of the inner circle if any shop can do it. My shop can do thing with up to a 4'' hub IIRC.

they are not meant to be turned - they are too thin to start with. i know those fuckin things are expensive new but looks like that's what ou gonna have to get. ebay works fairly well, you can snatch a used set as cheap as 30, but you need to buy two sets cause there's like a 50% chance them shits gonna be warped. what kind of bike?

you cant turn drilled or slotted rotors, but you can rough em up an take off the high spots with an ro sander and 120 grit, especially if they have been sqealing badly
