asus is good but i might go a set up from that one to the m2n-e thats still under 100 with a better chipsethttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131022and check the compatibility of that ram cause am2 stuff is picky, unless theyve solved that problem[Edited on September 12, 2006 at 2:47 PM. the CPU i'm lookin at is the AM2 socket, not 939. the reason for that is cause i want to get into the DDR2 realm of things away from DDR. and i checked just now the memory guidelines on AMD's website and this is all it says:

yea u meet the spec with that ram but these am2 boards are pickier than that i hear. they say u really do need to get ram thats on the Qualified vendor listhttp://www.asus.com/999/download/products/1171/1171_10.pdfothers probablly work but this is what they say[Edited on September 12, 2006 at 11:21 PM. haha yea i saw that but i also saw that for my existing Asus mobo that said i couldnt use corsair xms RAM but i'm using it now and have since the day i built the original system. i've had no RAM issues with it so most likely i will get the patriot anyway, even if i change mobo brand.reviews on that asus m2n-e have me a bit skeptical because of all the bad things said about it in late august, early sept by different people. so i think i will keep my options open.
