So, after spending a few years as a lab tech, I'll be looking to apply to grad school and take the GRE Biochem/Cell Biology/Molecular Biology subject test. I'm having trouble finding good recommendations for study guides for it.

Oh, and is it necessary to take the General Test and the Subject, or is the Subject good enough?

Oh damn, not a very likely topic to be posted by anybody else! BTW, you won't get any answers

As for which test to take, dude, you should know that the General test is required (of everybody) for grad school regardless of which subject you want to study. The Subject test depends on the selectivity of the school. Highly selective schools require it, selective ones recommend it, and most don't require it. Even if it is not required for the schools you are applying to, if you know you are going to do well, take it; it will boost your chances of admission.

Depends on where you want to go.

As far as books/pre guides are concerned, Kaplan makes pretty good books.

The general GRE prep book is $20 at Barnes and Nobles
