its still hilarious to me that people don't think he's a good QB.

He made our defense look like third grade school girls today.

Great player.

Vick was still good last year.

Yes, Ill admit last year was his worst season overall.

But he was still really good in the 4th quarter almost every week. He either tied or gave the Falcons the lead almost every week. It's not his fault they had the worst defense in the league.

Their defense looks improved this year and there's a pretty good chance Vick will end up relegating the Panthers to the wild card.

there you go with stats again...

if you watched the game, he flat out dominated us...

you know when he avoids the sack and throws the Incompletion thats a good thing yet it counts against him in the stats.

Delhomme would be too busy fumbling to ever do that

vick wouldnt have led the league in YPC last year if they counted sacks as negative rushing yards

I saw a Carolina offense score only 6 points against the Atlanta defense.

Did Vick help in that department any?

No?

STFU then. Firstly, Carolina's offense looked pretty bad... secondly, Atlanta's defense looked very good... third, Dunn had an amazing game. Michael Vick still completed only 10 passes. Throw in his running yards - half of which came on one play - and errm, I'm not seeing this Golden God you speak of.

Vick was awesome today.

If you deny that you're insane.

Do you really think Warrick Dunn is one of the top 10 RB's in the league? Of course not... even Jerrious Norwood looked like a Pro Bowler running through those gaping holes. The holes are there because we're so busy gameplanning for Vick. We've got DL's playing contain, LB's and safeties spying. CB's looking back to make sure Vick isn't scrambling again.

Vick is just amazing. He controls the clock and puts together TD drives. He doesnt have to settle for FG's because he's so efficient in the red zone.

The guy flat out makes plays... sure a few routine passes are overthrown every now and then, but thats well worth it for a guy who can just dominate the game like that.

we couldve dealt with atlanta putting up 20 if our OFFENSE had shown up

yes vick is good...ive known that for the years he dominated us before last year

not good enough to win a superbowl though

so missing on a key 3rd-and-8 is okay because on 1st-and-15, he got six yards on a scramble?

Dunn and Abraham were best players on the field today. 140 yds in the passing game is nothing to phone home about. His TD pass to Crumpler was nice tho.

I don't think that you can put the win (for the Falcons) on any one player...I think that the combo of Vick, Dunn and Abraham was what did us in...

Vick looked pretty good, can't deny that, but Dunn fucked us up like whoa...where did our run defense go?

The preseason showed us that our offense would struggle without Smitty, let's hope he gets back soon and that Delhomie gets his shit together.

I didn't watch the entire game today, but I was impressed a couple of times by Vick. I still don't think he's half the quarterback he could be though.

When you're discussing the Falcons, wins are due to one player: Michael Vick. Losses can be attributed to any or all of the other guys not named Vick - players, coaches, whomever.

Remember, this rule is not true for any other player on any other team.

When talking about the Panthers v. Falcons game:

Anyone who watched it will tell you that Abraham dominated the Panthers' anus. Vick mearly played the QB/RB position sufficiently.

NO NO NO NO NO

^I think he's the guy who carries Vick's jock around during the time between games.

Just a guess though.

( \/ maybe the sarcasm was missed here too?)

Haha where is the Favre vs. Vick thread.

Favre looked great today.

Vick is damn good. Take your Carolina blinders off. Off all people Panthers fans should admit Vick is good.

Vick: good football player, not good at successfully orchestrating the forward pass with consistent accuracy

(but we shouldn't judge QBs by things like completion percentage, should we?)

^^No, total yards would seem to matter more. Who cares how the QB gets them as long as he gets yards.

Okay, let's play a game - guess which delusional TWWer I am:

"Michael Vick is great because he runs out of the pocket and is the only reason that that team wins. He doesn't need to pass if a receiver is covered, he just runs. Don't look at his stats, look at the WINS!!!!!!1

But Marcus Stone sucks. He may be 6-2 as a starter, but his stats are horrible!! He can't play! He can't complete a pass and runs if his first receiver is covered!"

Mike Vick can suck my Golden ROD. He's an overhyped thug who gets praise like no other. Put him at running back where he should be and lets see that "breakaway speed." You can't guard a fast QB in the NFL and that's the only reason he's even notable. He's probably giving STD's to some poor girl right now while his thug brother is getting school by the people who actually play for the Dolphin's.

I admitting that you could put Antwaan Randall El in that spot and he would be just as good. It's just the position. Like I said, put him at running back and if he does the same shit, I'll shut my trap.

So why doesn't every team put a fast guy at QB?

If that's the case, how come Greco couldn't find PT for us?
