football > baseball

The NFL is about to devour the sports world, so keep watching baseball because someone has to make sure they still play. That said, since the Tigers are doing well this year I'll be watching both.
9/7/2006 1:10:01 PM
i'm going to miss baseball =/
9/7/2006 1:10:42 PM
Football combines the two worst features of modern American life: it's violence punctuated by committee meetings.baseball plz
9/7/2006 1:11:54 PM
then = than??
9/7/2006 1:12:12 PM
Well, if you miss tonights baseball game you can still catch the other 9,493 that your team will play so it really doesn't matter.

Just wanted to get some people worked up.. it'll still happen I'm sure.I don't dislike the NFL, just don't like watching teams I don't like play. I watch every Jets game I can...** Honestly I just realized there was a game tonight. I didn't hear much about it with the Anibal Sanchez no hitter..[Edited on September 7, 2006 at 1:17 PM. 9/7/2006 1:17:59 PM

9/7/2006 1:18:02 PM

9/7/2006 1:46:09 PM
watching baseball tonight???? crazy man
9/7/2006 1:50:49 PM
The NFL is the #1 sport in AmericaBaseball does not hold that title anymore
9/7/2006 1:50:55 PM
Yeah, you're right overall. There are certainly still segments of the country that are baseball first (SoCal, NYC, New England, and even really the Bay Area) though. It's actually pretty cool. The NFL has never been more popular but at the same time baseball has never been more popular either. It's amazing that both sports are still breaking attendance and merchandising records with the widespread use of satellite tv, HDTV, and every game being broadcast live anywhere in the country.[Edited on September 7, 2006 at 2:04 PM. my friend just moved to atlanta and will be living by himself and is bitching about the cost of watching panthers gamesI'm glad there is mlb.tv
9/7/2006 2:06:19 PM
well he can certainly watch the FALCONS panthers game this sunday if he lives in GayTL
9/7/2006 2:10:40 PM
It depends on who is playing in baseball. I am not watching a Royals-Yankees game over the Steelers-Dolphins. But if it is Braves-Mets, Red Sox-Yanks, Twins-Tigers or something involving teams I like or two good teams, then I'll take the baseball game. All in all if it's just a generic game between teams I don't root for, then I'm more likely to watch the football game.

^^ actually that should be reserved for times when there is no noise [or no posts in this case], such as when ND rolls into Neyland and shuts down the Vols.
9/7/2006 4:09:22 PM
wtf??? did phishnfuck hack your shit or something??Tenn has beat ND plenty of times, and Ainge was hurt in the first half of that game anyways, knock Quinn out and ND would lose plenty

9/7/2006 6:09:18 PM
well things have gotten a little bit more interesting for the Padres, especially with their amazing win last night and since they are only one game behind LA now, but I'd still rather watch two NFL teams i don't care aboutbaseball just doesn't have the umph that football does, even when youre watching it live
9/7/2006 6:18:21 PM
I'd rather watch soccer than baseball
9/7/2006 6:23:29 PM
