So my Roadrunner connection has been shit for the past few weeksIs it worth calling and complaining for the fact that every other page I try and access times out multiple times before I can get it to work. Should I threaten to cancel my subscription for another service, and if so, is there anything they can offer me that I could expect to improve my connection.ALSOare there other (See: BETTER) high speed ISP's i could get in Cary?

if you've ruled out your own computer or home network as the problem, then yeah, you should give them a chance to fix it. if you're patient and talk to someone that's willing to do more than just schedule a tech, maybe you'll get the fix you're looking for. at very least, that's less of a hassle than switching to DSL or something else.

Haven't seen past threads (if any), but have you tried somebody's else's computer on your home network? Can help isolate problems.Oh, right, schedule a person to come out, stuff gets fixed.

if you connect your computer directly to cable modem, and connection is still shit, then call and complainbetter yet, get some linux live CD, boot that and connect your comp directly to cable modem, if connection is still shitty with linux, that rules out whatever crap (read: spyware) you may have on your windows system that might fuck up your net connection[Edited on September 6, 2006 at 10:50 PM. Reason : PS. dont call me lookin for help, thats what I'd tell you anyhow ]
