I only thoroughly enjoy four things I can touch in life:

Designer purses, shoes, food, and bath products (spa included)... I say go with any combination of those (minus the shoes bc I'm superstitious)

Unless you've backed yourself into a corner by outdoing yourself each chance you get. Then it's hard to compete with the last thing you got her.

i actually really like the idea of a spa day.

massage, facial, etc.. if my boyfriend did that for me, i'd really REALLY appreciate it.

and you don't have to be a girly girl to like spas...you just have to be a person who likes relaxation.

if your girlfriend isn't real materialistic (don't get defensive, some girls would wather have a gift she can hold in her hands and THAT'S OKAY!!!), you should take her on a trip somewhere. you probably know somewhere she'd like to be instead of here, so make it happen

"diamonds are a girls best friend"

butttt if that's not in your budget, I second the spa. Or get her a gift ceriticate to her regular hair place (better yet... take her while spending the day with her if you know she needs her cut or color touched up and has been talking about it)

Take her out for a nice dinner something romantic and make sure to do a TON of little things. Build up the date too... just smirk at her and let her know you are working hard on something.

Then go do something fun that you both enjoy like go carts, or take her to a secluded water spot and skinni dip. Something that she won't forget.

The Lion King is going to be at the BTI Center later this month. Pickup tickets to that and go to dinner at Mo's Diner or Caffe Luna.

don't be stupid. they're not, and you should run like hell from any "girl" who believes this b.s.

the best answer to this question has to come from you. what are 5 things that she likes? these can be broad categories. if you're really not sure, take a look around her apartment/house and think about some of the things that she talks about. for example, is she into travel? wine? watching tv? animals? the color yellow? you need to brainstorm and get creative, although doing either does not necessarily have to cost you lots of $. just remember that cliche will beget cliche...

Combine the Dinner/Gift combo into one REALLY nice dinner - you could probably afford some place really nice if you dropped the gift from the equation. It worked really well with my wife when we were dating.

get her a nice gift and cook her a nice gormet type dinner yourself, maybe Italian. Way cheaper, and nearly as impressive as a fancy restaurant.
