daammn, is the dog's shit made of gold or something?
9/4/2006 1:17:02 AM
English bulldogs are genetic cesspools. Breeding them should be a crime. Don't pay this kind of money for a genetic freak that is grossly deformed when you can spend 1/10th and save a dog's life that will not cost you thousands upon thousands in vet bills, be unable to live a typical dog's life, and die early.
9/4/2006 1:48:18 AM
You're paying $1,000 for a used snore machine.
9/4/2006 9:46:43 AM
And those things are ugly as hell. They look like their face was in a head-on collision with a mack truck. And I'll be damned if I spend $1000 on something that i can't drive, live in, or doesn't put out.
9/4/2006 9:51:32 AM
$100
9/4/2006 12:11:18 PM
It'll put out.
9/4/2006 12:54:01 PM
few bulldogs are really worth $1,000. i hope he has ALL of it's breeders papers.
9/4/2006 1:21:54 PM
It does have all its papers. The dads papers, the moms papers, pictures of both parents, and papers and pictures of the puppy
9/4/2006 1:28:46 PM
9/4/2006 5:43:49 PM
why are you selling
9/4/2006 5:45:42 PM
I was about to say...we don't even know how old this dog is or the gender...However, I do agree that bulldogs have issues. Something that cannot actually breed or give birth on its own should not exist.
9/4/2006 7:16:53 PM
not the place to try to sell a dog
9/4/2006 8:54:34 PM
i have a friend who is very serious about buying his girlfriend an english bull dogis the dog still avail?
9/4/2006 10:50:23 PM
yes the dog is still available. It is a male and less than a year oldThe owner is selling because his house is getting destroyed. This dog is for someone that knows dogs very well. He has tried everything to house train and still no success. The dog does come with a crate. Here are some pictures of what he looks LIKE I am still gathering up a digital camera to get some actual pictures.
9/5/2006 1:21:26 PM
i think you meant, "her". she looks nice. i already have a bitch though. a bulldog is on my list of dogs to own.
9/5/2006 1:45:50 PM
^He said it looked like that, not that it was that. So...this guy wants $1,000 for a used retarded dog? I don't think so.
9/5/2006 2:08:33 PM
Most bulldogs have serious health problems because of their malformed nose areas. Trouble breathing, bad hygiene, trouble eating. I certainly wouldn't pay $1000 to say "Hey I have one of the most expensive to maintain dogs there is!"
9/5/2006 3:53:20 PM
9/5/2006 4:15:56 PM
I had a bulldog It was a Great dog very smart. But health was alot $$$$$$
9/5/2006 4:29:21 PM
^^Labs and goldens also have a lot of health problems nowadays because they are so grossly overbred. My main thing is the bullsdog can't even freaking reproduce on their own. Plus, this person wants $1,000 for a dog with behavioral issues that they want off their hands. That's wrong.

How do you determine who's a "puppy mill" and who's a responsible breeder "?Any fucking breeder is nothing more than a puppy mill you idiot.^as far as not everyone "wants a mutt", you should learn something. Mutts are just as good of dogs as any $1000 animal (and no blame is thrown towards a dog that is bred for profit...it's not their fault), but some people get themselves an expensive dog as some sort of status symbol...keeping up with the Joneses or maybe having a little dick and trying to compensate and impress. So go spend your parent inherited money on a dog to make yourself look better wven tho there are beautiful animals dying at the shelters. Cause event tho you have yourself a showdog you are still a prick.
9/5/2006 5:31:56 PM
$1200/10 years = $120 per year of depreciation.$1200 - $120 = $1080.This dog is a strong buy at $1000.
9/5/2006 5:39:01 PM
and it is Or best Offer!!!!!!!

Ok, you don't buy a dog from a breeder because you want a status symbol, unless you're some annoying fucker who shouldn't be owning a dog to begin with.If my friend's Grandma wants a little tiny yip dog that's light and easy to take care of, she should buy her a little schnauzer or something, not some random animal from a shelter. Yes, there are website like Petfinder where you can select breeds, and I have used it to adopt my little Pomeranian, because my mom wanted a smaller dog that was older and wouldn't be a lot in the way of training, and something to befriend our bulldog (and they love each other). Little Tinsley was significantly less to adopt than buy ($180 vs. $500+), but she came with a slew of problems we had to tame her out of...like, being scared of the toaster and stuff.

^^^Two months of "hands on" research and all you get is a ten page paper. That's funny. Yup, that sure tells me you know what your talking about.Sorry seetheart, a ten page paer doesn't make you anything but a student. Don't cry.

ok so wait............................this person is GETTING RID OF THIS dog because its DESTROYING their house and they havent been able to HOUSETRAIN this dog.i've fostered ~ 36 puppies in addition to raising my own dogs and i've successfully housetrained every one of them in less than 2 weeks. sometimes only days. I've housetrained every breed or mix imaginable. some of my fosters weren't the brightest stars in the sky or were even stubborn (usually hound mixes) and i managed to house train them.I crate train all my dogs and fosters. i dont trust my dogs to stay unsupervised in the house until they are 2. puppies and younger dogs get bored = destructive. have they crate-trained him?crate-training helps with house-training and preventing unwanted and destructive behaviors.Have they even tried to work with this dog? They could contact a trainer or animal behaviorist to help them. I had a professional help me with one of my dogs. if they had $1200 to spend on a puppy they should be able to spend a $100 on a training or modification class.Have the owners taken it to the vet? shots? microchipped? neutered?i'd hope if you spend $1200 on a puppy you have the $ to vet it. and they're asking for a THOUSAND DOLLARS????? for an untrained non-housetrained dog.good luckif they really cared about the animal they'd return it to the breeder (and if they signed a contract with the breeder have them check - there may be a clause about returning to the breeder and the breeder only)either that or they'd contact a english bulldog breed rescue and ask for help placing it. sounds like they didnt do their research on the breed, or didn't try to train the dog and are giving up and trying to make some of their $ back.

animals are in shelters for many reasonsmost are due to pet overpopulation and irresponsible people not spaying/neutering their pets.i've rescued around 36 puppies and dogs from death row. actually went there and pulled them before they were going to put to sleep. all but 2 were puppies. 8-10 wks old. what the hell did a 8 week old puppy do to be dumped at a kill-shelter???? how has it exhibited undesired behaviors at that age???and just to add. all those puppies went to loving homes. i've kept in contact with all of them. they've all turned out to be great pets. and only 1 was a purebred (a border collie who went to a family this past weekend). the rest were all MUTTS[Edited on September 6, 2006 at 3:59 PM. Reason : i'm done]
9/6/2006 3:56:48 PM
I have 3 dogs, all mutts, and all rescued from a shelter or adopted from an agency. I also bought an AKC registered dog (pomeranian). I don't regret getting any of them and I havent had a single problem with the mutts. The pomeranian has issues with house training still, but that is something I expected since I DID RESEARCH ON THE BREED before buying one. Obviously this person did not know what he/she was getting into and bought the dog for status or just for kicks. I hope he finds a good home though...he deserves to have a family that can take care of him properly and be able to deal with his issues rather than giving up on him.
9/6/2006 4:52:42 PM
I think bob is just trying to troll now.
9/6/2006 5:26:52 PM
No not really. I don't mean to overreact, but I have worked with animal rescue for years and like XCChic have fostered and nourished many "mutts".I'm passionate about it and if my stupid smartass comments can make somebody think about something then so be it. Mutts are just as good a dogs as purebreds.I'll admit, I get a little nasty at times.Sorry.

that dog is fucking awesome
9/7/2006 5:20:03 PM
My wife has performed a few necropsies on Bulldogs, not to mention basic cases she's worked involving them and without a doubt she says there is no worse breed. She had one about a month ago where the owners wanted a necropsy despite the cause of death being pretty much accepted and this dog had pretty bad hydracephalous (about 40% of its brain was displaced by a pocket of fluid) and this was totally independent of its other problems (believe this one died from complications in one step of the surgery-to-allow-a-bulldog-to-breathe-halfway-decent that so many have to have. If you want a genetic freak with health problems then at least get one that can do normal dog things, like a Great Dane. When a breed cannot reproduce on its own, frequently can't breathe without reconstructive surgery, have totally fucked up palates, heart problems, and shortened lifespans then it should not be continuously bred.By the way, odds are you will have a healtheir dog if you get a mixed-breed english bulldog than a pure-bred... the mutt will have a chunk of the bad genes from the breed taken away.
9/7/2006 5:23:39 PM
^ our current bulldog is half english, half american - the breeder breeds them that way because fullbred English bullies have really bad hips. She looks a little more American than English, but is still lazy and slobbery and has a huge girth. I'm gonna have to shop at Doggie Lane Bryant for her There's a picture of her in my gallery if you want to see.
9/7/2006 5:26:15 PM
I like how earlier you were proclaiming the health of your dog as an example of how this breed wont have a lot of vet billsand now you are saying that your new dog is a mixbreed because full bloods have problems[Edited on September 7, 2006 at 5:51 PM.
