I need someone who has any EE or CPE job to help me getting this assignment completed by unswering some questions about technical communication in the real job enviroment. Please PM me and I will set up a meeting to conduct the intreview.

To ride on paliboy's thread...

I also need someone to interview. The instructor gave us a list of graduates but most of the contanct information is outdated.

The goal of the interviews is to assess the type of writing that is actually done in the workplace so that course material for ENG 331, 332, and 333 can be updated accordingly. The interview also consists of an online survey and possibly some follow-up questions.

The five initial questions for the interview are:

1) What types of documents do you write? Please use the names you usually call them and describe their contents, length, format, how often you produce them, for whom, and their importance.

2) Why do people read what you write? What decisions or actions does your writing affect?

3) How did you learn to do the writing you have to do in your work--on the job, workplace training, college course, etc? Of these, what were the most useful aspects of the training you have received in writing?

4) In what ways has technology changed the way you communicate at work, especially over the past five years?

5) Please describe any examples of the consequences of effective or ineffective writing within your organization.

The interviewees are not limited to EE or CPE graduates--if you've taken ENG-331, I'd be interested in talking to you. This is your chance to change and improve the curriculum. Please PM me if you're interested.

I'd be willing to buy you a beer for your troubles

Also, the interview doesn't need to be in person. It can be conducted via email.

The school forced me to take ENG331, and that is the last of any part of that class I ever want to have to deal with.

The mono-gendered section.

It wouldn't be so bad if the contact information they gave us wasn't 3-4 years old.

why does it have to be EE or CPE?

I worked with a lot of people on my previous co-op rotation that basically did nothing but technical writing. But they were mostly ME's.

It doesn't have to be. The only requirement is that they've graduated and that they have taken ENG-331. Do you think you might be able to hook us up with some of those ME guys?

no it doesn't . It can be done via email. all what you need to do is to answer several questions about technical communications in the real job, and then reply to a survey sent to you by the instructor later on . But yeah it doesn't have to be in person. If its okay with you , I will send you the questions in an email.
