The worst way to do this would be through a cash advance on a credit card because interest rates will run an average of about 11% and accrue in real time.You should look into charging whatever expense you have into credit or applying for a student loan and spending your refund. Cash back is for debit/checking accounts, and cash advance would be the worst way to do anything.

they would accrue in daily simple interest rates and not the 0% apr you see on most cards for the first 12 months? btw trying to get about $1000 to get some car issues resolved

Do not use a cash advance. It is an absolute last resort... hishest interest of any transaction on your credit card.lucky2, definitely et a card and use it. You need to show you can use credit wisely in order to get good credit. Not suing credit at all does not mean you have good credit rating as some seem to think. I'd use a card for something like autopay your utilities and such so you have transactions every month that you know you can cover.

^^to sum up.Go to your bank, tell an account manager what you need, and they will give you the best options. More than likely you can just get overdraft protection for far more than whatever amount you need.
