please i just wish he would go away
8/29/2006 2:22:43 PM
Yeah, me too. I mean, at least make some kind of actual accusation in your speech. Or file a lawsuit. This lip service bullshit gets old.
8/29/2006 2:24:08 PM
8/29/2006 2:39:51 PM
I think this is less about Kerry's re-election and more an attempt to discredit Blackwell in his run for the Ohio governorship.
8/29/2006 2:52:35 PM
Well...that could be. I guess I just latched on to CNN's words in the first paragraph.Either way, its total asshattery
8/29/2006 2:56:41 PM
Kerry needs to just eat ketchup and shut the fuck up.
8/29/2006 3:39:18 PM
KERRY/EDWARDS '08 !1111
8/29/2006 3:47:36 PM
Me and dental agree on something!
8/29/2006 4:05:02 PM
ha worst campaign ever
8/29/2006 4:06:03 PM
I'm down for Skeletor/ORLY owl '08 myself
8/29/2006 4:15:46 PM
I'D VOTE FOR THEM, AGAIN.
8/29/2006 4:20:43 PM
The thing is...The Democrats could have easily won the 2004 election, they picked the wrong canidate though and focused more on the "hey he's not bush" aspect of it
8/29/2006 4:26:22 PM
^ You are correct sirAnd prepare to be amazed...they're going to do it again. This time though, they're gonna put up far left Hillary and ruin their chances of getting the swing vote versus a moderate like McCain or GuilianiThus, even with an unpopular war, widespread misinterpretation of the tax law, and a host of other issues to parade to victory in, they will still be conceding defeat in '08
8/29/2006 4:30:36 PM
well since im not registered as a democrat ive stopped feeling depressed over the fact they cant do shit. I guess I will just sit around and continue getting pissed at everything the government does or maybe move to New Zealand where it seems pretty awesome.
8/29/2006 5:31:15 PM
hillary isnt far left
8/29/2006 5:35:06 PM
shes a communist!!!
8/29/2006 5:36:00 PM
hillary won't get the nomination. there's no way. dems want to win in 08, and hillary is way too divisive of a figure nationally.
8/29/2006 6:39:47 PM
sari, you may be right, but if you were taking bets, you might reconsiderOn http://www.tradesports.com/aav2/trading/tradingHTML.jsp?evID=23190&eventSelect=23190&updateList=true&showExpired=falseshe's the frontrunner by a long shot. Of course, that leaves 60% to others, but that's pretty high.Interestingly enough McCain is the major republican frontrunner and has been getting more and more bets every day. I think its because his recent statements opposing the president are setting him up for grabbing moderate votes.Another interesting wrinkle. If you look at the election winning party, the democrats are a point or two higher. If you break it down by candidate, though, McCain leads Clinton by a fair mark.

kerry is more of a flip flopperyou might disagree stongly with stuff bush does, but he tends to stand by itone of the main reasons kerry didnt win the election (imo) is that too many people were unsure what he actually stood for
8/30/2006 11:46:45 AM
8/30/2006 12:47:49 PM
far left = not liking bush
8/30/2006 2:17:53 PM
Far left =/ not liking BushFar left = Hillary Clinton
8/30/2006 2:19:37 PM
most democrats follow the far-left agenda these days, allowing groups like moveon.org and other neo-marxist groups to control their policies. hillary clinton is a flagbearer for this movement.
8/30/2006 2:30:32 PM
so moveon.org is neo-marxist now?!
8/30/2006 2:31:53 PM
they are radical leftists
8/30/2006 2:32:51 PM
I wish Bush would flip flop sometimes

John "Frankenstein" Kerry should just go away. He had his chance and he blew it.But that begs the question: Who do the Democrats have in 2008? Howard Dean? Ha! One guy said of Dean that he just couldn't vote for somebody who might have rabies. How about Al "An Inconvenient Truth--You Lost!" Gore? Jokey-joke time! You could run John "The Breck Girl" Edwards, right? I mean, they gave him that poverty center position over at UNC. Hell, with Edwards workin' on poverty night and day, how is it possible that there are any poor people left? And what about Hillary? Please! Why don't you just give the '08 presidency to the Republicans--it'll be faster. Look, even Robert Downey Jr.--who is obviously no conservative--has said that he is "between parties" and "the Democrats can't hit their ass with both hands." So, who're you gonna field for '08, Democrats? The time draws nigh. I hear Al Sharpton is available.
8/31/2006 2:20:47 AM
^ Don't mock the Democratic field yet. There's former Virginia Governor Mark Warner, a very strong and popular centrist in a traditional Republican stronghold. You also have Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, a very sharp and charismatic figure who is considered one of the great rising political stars. Those two alone could dramatically shift the field.
8/31/2006 2:10:28 PM
Ohio's also delayed the decision to destroy the ballots from the '04 elections. Evidently somebody cares about appearances at least...
8/31/2006 2:35:09 PM
Yes, but the proverbial elephant in the room--or should that be jackass in the room--Hillary Clinton is likely going to stomp any chance of either of those people from being successful in a primary.I would still want to hear more about each of their policies and records, though
8/31/2006 2:35:21 PM
I'm convinced Obama's not setting up shop for '08. I could be completely off base, but that's my impression.I'm concerned that the Democrats are going to stupidly side with name recognition this time instead of electibility. I only have a limited impression of Gov. Warner (which I'm off to correct), but he already has a better shot at getting elected than Sen. Clinton.
8/31/2006 2:50:54 PM
I agree.Gamecat (et al.) where do you go for close to unbiased descriptions of the candidates, the issues, and their records?
8/31/2006 2:53:24 PM
http://www.vote-smart.orghttp://www.opensecrets.orgThose are the best two web sites for information on candidates and representatives that I've seen in recent years. And unfortunately, neither tell you anything about Mark Warner since he's no longer a governor. I'll PM you if I can find something worthwhile.[Edited on August 31, 2006 at 2:59 PM. Reason : ...]
