Im looking to get one mainly so I can have a direct connection to my Ipod and be able to play cds.I was thinking of spending $100 at bestbuy or circuit city, so I can get the free installation. Are there any brands to avoid? Any advice would be great.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7652499&type=product&productCategoryId=cat03066&id=1134701297913I just got that deck and I'm liking it a lot. The cable to hook up the Ipod only costs $29.99 instead of having to buy a breakout box that goes with most of the other manufacturers. You might be able to get a cheaper Alpine deck that supports the Ipod but I'm not sure.

be VERY careful with bestbuy. They screwed up a friends install 3 times in a row. They really do NOT know what they are doing.

^If you want to play your ipod through your car CD player you would want an AUX IN.. Not AUX OUT. but Im sure thats what you meant...

im very used to controlling the ipod itself in the car (my old car had an aux in)so controlling it from the deck is not something that matters to me
