Which DMV location did you get your license from? I wanna take the road test tomorrow morning, but I'm not sure which locations offer the motorcycle riding test. I tried the DMV's website, but I'm pretty sure some of the locations they listed don't offer the riding test (Avent Ferry, for example).

^correct. also, the dmv on capital before you get to wakefield does it also. no appt. necessary at any location. just be there 15 min. before start time like ^ said (test times are at 8:30 and 2:30). I tried to take the road test at avent ferry and the woman was a bitch and wouldn't let me take it since i didn't own the bike. wtf? but i went to capital the next day and took it and passed fine.

the endo with my feet over the handlebars was the only part that gave me and trouble

avent ferry, i think i did it there. turning around in front of the dumpster in teh gravel was challenging! my bike stalled a lot back then too several times during the test haha

Thanks for the replies. I took the test today at Avent Ferry and got my license. Some of the guys in my class couldn't ride for shit and were knocking over cones. Another guy on a brand new R6 couldn't turn around without putting his foot down. He stalled his bike out during one of the tests too. I think they'll pass just about anybody.

^^i took mine two weeks ago and the damn dumpsters were leaking some nasty liquid.....made turning around a lot more interesting...

You guys should have seen the TN test, it was pretty hilarious. For one thing, I didn't have to make any lefts, just four rights around the block. It was like NASCAR in reverse. No U turn, no figure 8, no cones involved at all. And the best part was that I rode my bike to the test, and they didn't say a thing about it
8/30/2006 10:00:52 AM
u can ride your bike to the test if you have your permit. that's what i did.yep those damn dumpsters are treacherous!
8/30/2006 10:45:08 AM
No permit in TN, unless you're 15. It's retarded. You can only have a motorcycle permit if you are 15. So I spent a week riding out in the country practicing road skills for the test, then just rode it there myself. I had my paper showing I had passed the written test, I had insurance, and I had a printout of my appointment time for the test. I figured if a cop pulled me, he'd probably let me off since I had all that crap and don't own a truck or anything to transport it with.
