3-hour game impressions from Obscuro's Oblivion Overhaul Version 1.3Guys this is a serious update. If you have had any desire to either a.) start playing this game on the PC, or b.) restart and actually beat the game...now's a grand time to start.I'm not going to go at great detail into the absolutely barrage of shit this update has changed, but trust me when I say the game is about 200% more fun after going through a quest and a couple of dungeons. All I can say is HIGH RISK, DANGER, HIGH REWARD. It's insane....even the addition of the traps alone in this one dungeon had my ass on the ropes in danger at all points, plus strange looking NPC with new factions and neat looking new gear. I mean, there are new spawns everywhere and it's really engaging...you can't predict anything.Oblivion vets know what I mean, and know how much Oblivion lacked with the loot tables, NPC levelling, spawn, adventure/dange, and character levelling to make the game feal alive and threatening instead of every damn cave and dungeon as carbon copies. But now there is a true sense of spontaneous OH FUCK! but also a sense of huge reward and conquest. This mod is so massive that attempting to sum it up in a single post would be a waste of time. Instead, here's a link to the webpage with more info:http://jorgeoscuro.googlepages.com/ooo1.3readme.htmlHere's a link to a trailer video for 1.3http://files.filefront.com/ooo+full+trailerzip/;5322647;;/fileinfo.htmlHere's a link to the file itselfhttp://files.filefront.com/ooo13exe/;5458921;;/fileinfo.htmlI've got OOO 1.3 hooked up with Natural Environments, Natural Habitats, Ren's Beauty Pack, Living Economy, and the add-on slow leveler set at 2x slower level gaining and I'm feeling *really good* about how the game flows. So far it's done badass things for the game. I sold my 360 version instantly. Also, the new shit strewn about in high risk parts of peoples houses and deep in dungeons makes crazy morrorwind 'how the hell did i just kill that guy' situations worth every penny. Keep in mind though, try to fight too big for your britches and your dude will get OWNEEEEED. I mean holy hell.

any idea if they plan to release a patch/update to the XBox360 version? They can release updates for console games now so that would be pretty coolI'm not a big Morrowind fan myself but still

It's not Bethsada's doing...this is a group of 6-7 modders that have spent a SHITLOAD of time trying to put life and color into the game since it was released with the Mod Construction set.I wouldn't be too suprised if the author gets a job down the road because he's made the game enjoyable where it was stale and undynamic to most. It also merges about 10-12 of the best mods to assist gameplay...making it real easy to just drop in your folder and go.

Good lord dude, simmer down and go try it. I'm not saying the core release isn't enjoyable, i take that part back...but I personally feel that overall the core game feels lifeless and boring based on the predictive and scaled content, the NPC leveling, spawning, repetitive NPCs and dungeons, and overall world reaction as you explore. You don't have to try the mod if you don't want to foolio, I'm just thorwing this out there for those that might be interested, b/c it really fucking rocks.

I don't have a PC capable of running it, or I would try it. I was just commenting on how you said that one of the most popular games of the last year was "stale and undynamic to most"

i stopped playing, so i will install this update and see if it's worth playing again.

well most people did buy it from the sheer anticipation but very few still play it or care to play again. I frequent many fan sites, msg boards, general gaming boards and the overwhelming most got tired of it.You can't always predict a game's success by how many copies it sold. The mod scene is the only thing that will keep the game interesting....and that's free and readily available.

yea I stopped playing to,there wasnt really anything to make me want to play anymore. And I have done about everything I needed to do as a assasin. Now its time to be a orc warrior tornado of death

shrug, i did all the diff quests for different guilds and felt completely filled by the original. i played it for about 80hrs, which is more than most games ive ever played. i wouldnt say it greatly failed to keep me interested for more than 1 playthrough.
