Am I correct to assume that both of these are internal?(Call me a HD newb if you must.)I'm currently looking for an external/USB for my laptop.

8/26/2006 2:32:12 PM
yes, mine is internal...but it has a 16mb cache and is 3gb/s, so i win

9/6/2006 7:43:38 PM

9/6/2006 7:44:18 PM
$75 is the lowest i'll accept, as it's brand new
9/7/2006 8:59:26 AM
I ended up getting a new SATA 400 GB Seagate drive with almost the same specs for $100 - $25 mail in rebate...[Edited on September 7, 2006 at 9:52 AM. Reason : so you might wanna try craigslist]
9/7/2006 9:52:19 AM
^^Umm... you can get a brand new one for like $50...
9/7/2006 11:20:43 AM
i guess i just don't understand why you won't go buy yourself one for $50, thenif i didn't take SilverSurfer's $55 bid, why would i accept less? and why would you pay MORE than $50 when it's so obvious to everyone (except me, of course) that you can get them for $50? this confuses me^^ almost is not exactly...for example, there is a big difference (for those of use who utilize our hardware capabilities) between 150mb/s and 1.5gb/s and 3gb/s...there is also a difference between an 8mb cache and a 16mb cache...so unless you're comparing two drives of same operating specs (save for size), then your comparison isn't really validi don't understand why people assume these things...it's like saying you got a coupe and you're comparing it to a truck - they both get you where you need to go, but you can't tow a boat with a coupe[Edited on September 7, 2006 at 12:24 PM. i call bs, just because i've NEVER seen a deal like that...ever.but the point is moot, as i don't need to sell it...i've sold all my IDE drives and i won't need to upgrade this one for 6 months or so
9/7/2006 9:23:12 PM
^ check PM.
9/7/2006 9:44:01 PM
It's not bs... i bought it here:http://shop4.outpost.com/product/4799749but it was 99.99 with a $25 MIR at the time...you just gotta check slickdeals.net every now and then for good hard drive deals... right now they have a 100 GB Maxtor for $10
9/8/2006 1:13:28 AM
who would use only a 100gb hard drive? pointless btw, i like how on the outpost page it says "regular price: $189.99" and they're selling it for $209.99...gg outpost
