The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has two Teaching Lab Technician workstudy positions available. The positions are 8 hours per week at $7 per hour.Duties include maintaining appearance of computer labs, creating documentation, providing customer support, installing PCs, networking, and software installation. While no previous work experience is required, applicants with an intermediate knowledge of computers is preferred. Advanced computing skills are a plus. thats kinda crap pay for the work...but that seems to be standard for student pay. i guess if you don't have a car, you cant do much better.but if you have a car, you can put those exact same skills to use and get paid alot more $$$.

That is true, however an on campus job is much more convenient. It is also an excellent entry level opportunity for experience, contacts, and future jobs for those interested in a career in IT. Many of our previous interns are working part time or full time on campus as a result of the experience and connections made as an intern.
