Recently ordered and recieved an HDMI cable for a 50" DLP Samsung. We thought we ordered a 2' cable but were surprised to recieve a 15' cable. Ive heard the signal can become distorted with cables over 3' long unless you buy top of the line expensive HDMI cables. Anyone have any expertise on this?

HDMI is digital. As long as the signal gets there, quality isn't really an issue.

That definitely makes sense. Its just that I've heard otherwise...

With analog signals it matters. Not so much with the digital.

Length can most def. be an issue with HDMI cables. You will notice sparkly like effects in the image if the bit error rate is too high. If you dont notice anything, it obviously works.
