Anyone had this professor before. I signed up for Reiland and I guess hes not teaching this semester. Should I try to take something else or is he not that bad!

warning, if you want to learn, do not take this class. i escaped with an A but i didnt learn anything. im not gonna go into anymore detail but yeah i guess in the end it turned out alright but i didnt wanna do shit for that class.

Okay, this took 10 minutes to find, so read every last word of the 10 pages and take everything I said in it VERY seriously.

Honestly, this guy is an absolute train wreck of a professor. He can't instruct, he can't communicate for heaven's sake, and his tests are night & day different than anything you "think" it'll be like. You won't learn anything, which isn't good considering 350 just might be the only math-ish class you take if you don't opt for ACC 420 your senior year.

When this person says they got an "A", I can almost promise you it was the toughest and least expected "A" they'd ever received, and the reason Reich ended up handing out a few more A's than we expected was because you can't just fail 175 kids your 1st semester teaching somewhere and expect to stay around. He's show charts after each test, and no lie, around 50 percent (if not more) of the class was below failing...I mean, just TANKING it. Hear me out, do not get in this course. I've been through this road and am now out, so word from the wise: take another professor. And read those 10 pages of that thread I linked to.

i thought that you were to get an email if professors were to be changed?!

would it be advised for me to switch to dutton's class? what about his online section?

i know he isnt near as good as reiland....but after reading that 10 page thread, im sure that i can learn the material well enough on my own

At this stage I'd almost be willing say a mentally hadicapped individual would outteach Reich, so yeah, Dutton would be better.
