how do you set a password for your wireless router? mine is a d-link. also, how do you rename the wireless router?

I have a Linksys router but this should be the same.Steps:1) check what your default gateway is (click start --> run --> cmd --> ipconfig)2) Copy down the Default Gateway address xxx.xx.x.x3) Open EI and type in http://xxx.xx.x.x4) Password window will pop up, just press ok since its blank.5) Go into setup and make necessary changes.If this doesn't work, let us know and I am sure someone with a similar router will help

192.168.0.1 login with default as listed in the manual (admin for the username, password is blank, I think)click "tools" tab at the toptype whatever you want for the admin password, then type it again to confirm. click applyrouter may reboot and you'll have to log in again.192.168.0.1enter user and pass you just changedclick on "wireless" tab on left sidechange SSID to whatever you want to call your wireless broadcast.

ah...well, i already did that...perhaps i mean how do you password protect the network. as in, my suitemate goes to log onto my network for internet and it asks for a password.am i just imagining things...?
