is there some ingredient in certain cat foods that makes cats go bonkers? my cat acts totally normal, just plays an average level. i got him some new food and probably 30 minutes after he ate it, it was like he turned into cornholio. he was running around the apartment playing with everything not bolted down, doing flips in the air, and making strange noises. he's been doing this for 2 days now but he seems happy so i'm not worried, just curious. this happen to anyone else?

i can't remember, but it was the wet food in a purple pouch, 3 for $1 i think? maybe he was just happy because i never give him wet food. it's cute but i hope he doesn't get used to eating like that, i can't rationalize paying that much for pouches of ground up horses floating in a mysterious liquid.

i give my cat wet food only once a week so he doesnt get spoiled, my sisters old cat refused to eat dry food and would even try to eat the wet food before it got out of the pouch or can, he was obsessedalso most cat food has taurine (i think thats the name of it) in it which makes them active, either way its the same stuff they put in mtdew that makes you awake whenever you may so need it

Sounds like there might be a little catnip in that food, you could check the ingredients.I bet he's just excited to get some wet food. May wear off in a few days. I better stay away from the wet food, My cats already nuts as it is, no need to make it any worse.
