Two-back sets kick so much ass.

Hopefully Chuck has finally stopped trying to find a Rivers replacement, and has learned to use the skills that his players do have.
8/17/2006 3:00:22 PM
basicallyive had the 2 set back figured out for us since ncaa05
8/17/2006 3:02:20 PM

I'm glad that James Davis, and Tyrone Moss (injury), and Wake's Andrews are getting a lot of the hype preseason as the premier backs in the ACC. Baker and Brown will push each other and work on the not so fun aspects of being an NCAA running back, blocking. TA knew he was the starter from the time he played in his 3rd game until he left, with zero competiton, and he read about it every day, and it cost us.
8/17/2006 8:59:13 PM
as I was beating State's ass with Tennessee on NCAA 2007 they did do a really cool play with both of them on the field... toss to Baker faked a counter right, then ran left and pitched it to Brown
8/17/2006 9:25:34 PM
i like this idea a loti'm glad as sophmores they realize there is alot more to the RB position than running the ball
8/18/2006 11:14:20 AM
the news & observor guys sure are unimaginative. i really wish they would pick up on the "shake & bake" nickname for the duo. "b&b"?
8/18/2006 11:25:03 AM
the best part is they both have 2 more years with the team.i say 2, because they'll prolly go pro after 3 years if they have years like i think they will.3 more years would be nice though, too.
8/19/2006 12:50:59 PM
toney baker would definitely go pro as soon as he can, but i'm not so sure about andre. i think he has a good shot of sticking around until graduation. i have the sense that he highly values getting a degree.
8/20/2006 7:33:29 PM
you know Andre?
8/20/2006 11:59:43 PM
^his main goal last year was to make academic all acc
8/21/2006 12:02:08 AM
this thread sits on a throne of lies
9/4/2006 1:37:57 PM
i could see taking a teamate out to dinner being viewed as a recruiting violation
9/4/2006 1:43:19 PM
... you ARE a moron.
9/4/2006 1:48:43 PM
If a two back set involves us going into the shotgun, I'd rather not see it.
9/4/2006 2:06:57 PM
I dont think Baker has much pro potential, let alone enough pro potential to leave early.Andre Brown on the other hand looks like a future first rounder to me.
9/4/2006 7:01:14 PM
Just don't see Brown as a first-rounder. You have 1 or 2 RB's in the first round every year and I don't see him being viewed as the complete package. Runners with a little more agility go in the first round and Baker is less cat, more horse. He'd definitely be an early-mid second rounder though. [Edited on September 4, 2006 at 7:32 PM. Reason : .]
9/4/2006 7:30:31 PM
well we didnt really see anything from baker in the first game. if he keeps that up, then no he won't be going pro early, or maybe not at all for that matter.and i agree with this:
9/4/2006 7:57:28 PM
i have no beef with using shotgun a little, except for the fact that we were running shotgun draws on the FIRST DRIVE with NO PREVIOUS SHOTGUN PASSES TO SET UP THE DRAW.that's like running play action fakes 3 times in a row without any runs to set it up[Edited on September 4, 2006 at 8:55 PM. Reason : hfds]

Sorry, yeah I was only talking about Brown... the "Baker" just slipped.
9/4/2006 10:15:54 PM
we ran a couple of good 2-back sets last night, especially early in the game
