and you cannot prove it to be false.
8/16/2006 1:46:14 AM
Okay, I'll bite.I may be unable to prove it false, but this is a moot point. I do not have to disprove that a kettle circles the sun, because of a little something called "burden of proof." If you say that a kettle circles the sun, then you must submit evidence that supports this claim. Failure to do does not necessarily disprove the theory ("absence of evidence is not evidence of absence"), but good luck getting anybody (who is rational) to believe you.
8/16/2006 1:56:07 AM
where is your physical evidence to prove it to be false.my evidence for a teapot circling the sun comes from generations and generations of stories about said tea pot[Edited on August 16, 2006 at 1:58 AM. Reason : .]
8/16/2006 1:58:16 AM
At what distance does this teapot circle the sun? How large is the teapot? What does it look like?
8/16/2006 2:05:17 AM
What do these "generations and generations of stories" say? Do they give any indication as to what time of year the kettle can be viewed or observed? Which part of the sky? Written accounts are a good start, but there needs to be a way to confirm what they say.Actually, I need to be careful when I say that a written account is a good start. How old are these stories? Were they re-translated or altered as they were passed down?
8/16/2006 2:05:30 AM
The teapot cannot be viewed at allbecause #1 it is small#2 it is close to the sun#3 Because it is always rotating around the sun on the opposite side the earth is on.These generations and generations of stories were originally written in greek and have been translated into english.
8/16/2006 2:11:15 AM
If the teapot is orbitting opposite to earth, then how is its existence known? How did the Greeks decide that there is a teapot at all if they could not see it?
8/16/2006 2:14:27 AM
they made it up!
8/16/2006 2:18:42 AM
They know because of the oral stories told.

nopethe teapot is no aided and does rotate close to the sun^^the fact remains that plenty of things can happen in the future. But as of now, you cannot prove it is not there.[Edited on August 16, 2006 at 2:43 AM. Reason : .]
8/16/2006 2:42:47 AM
Actually, the teapot's orbit would be so close that it would probably just burn up then.
8/16/2006 2:44:14 AM
doesn't burn up and doesn't do anythingit rotates
8/16/2006 2:49:32 AM
Why doesn't it burn up?
8/16/2006 2:50:52 AM
Your analogy is moronic. There are plenty of better ones that could make your point.
8/16/2006 2:56:43 AM
because it doesn'tdid I also tell you about the tea saucers that orbit the sun just beyond pluto's orbit?^tell that to Richard Dawkins and Bertrand Russell[Edited on August 16, 2006 at 2:58 AM. Reason : .][Edited on August 16, 2006 at 2:59 AM. Reason : .]
8/16/2006 2:56:52 AM
Then it's a magical teapot, and there's no point discussing it. A magical teapot can do whatever the heck you want it to.The fact is that we can't build a teapot to do what you describe, without it being magical in some way.
8/16/2006 3:01:39 AM
exactly
8/16/2006 3:09:40 AM
i am interested in purchasing your teapot.

"the teapot is no aided and does rotate close to the sun"and"#3 Because it is always rotating around the sun on the opposite side the earth is on."cannot both be true. Scientists have already proven that an objects rate of orbit is proportional to its distance from the sun. Therefore, if it is close to the sun it must orbit the sun much more frequently than the Earth. If this is so, then even our primitive technology could detect it by detecting the light shift as it moved between the sun and the Earth. Of course, scientists have already proven that an object the size of a teapot has a very large surface to mass ratio, which would make it susceptible to varying solar winds which would quickly push it out of orbit. Therefore, scientifically speaking, if a tea pot did exist it does not anymore. If it does exist, it will not do so for very long.

This thread shows a very low level of intelligence trying to mock something its own ignorance prohibits it from understanding.

in 1977 we sent a probe to the other side of the sun to collect data on the teapot that was theorized to be thereit was never heard from againrecent theories surround the idea that the teapot has defensive capabilities
8/16/2006 11:21:05 AM
actually that would be the missile defense system on the spaceship that is hidden behind the teapot. Now, for only $19.95 + s/h I will send you some magic coolaid that will help you get there.

Hey TGD, did you enjoy reading your new copy of "Godless" by Ann Coulter? Anyone who uses terms like "Liberal" as a negative connotation is lacking in character and understanding. You are a tool.
8/16/2006 1:48:32 PM
I'm not an Ann Coulter fan. Being a Republican and all, I prefer more overt propaganda like Mein Kampf.

LOL!GUFFAW!

President Bush is a Liberal. Do you understand this in context?
