I'm looking to move within my apartment complex because my roommate's friends are assholes (eating my food and drinking my alcohol) but I really like the complex. I'm a NCSU graduate working a 9 to 5 in Cary. I live in Cameron Court Apartments, it's less than a mile from campus on Hillsborough street going towards downtown. The location is awesome, you can walk to Glenwood South and there's an well stocked mini-mart on the block.

The apartments all open up to a green landscaped courtyard with big oak trees and benches to sit on. Inside they are all wood floors, huge warehouse style windows, central HVAC and ceiling fans.

One of the best things is that hot water is included...these apartments all share a boiler for the hot water so you never run out and it's all included in the rent. Another great thing is the industrial toilet, like the kind on campus, that never ever clogs.

Rent is $700, electricity is usually $50 and cable/internet is $100 (DVR + HBO). That comes to $425/month for everything. I do prefer a male roommate because I like my residence to be drama free. I also have 2 cats but they're well trained and do not pee or poop anywhere but the litter box. They're short haired and don't shed much, either. FYI, I'm straight just in case the cats made anyone wonder. My girlfriend loves the cats

I'm cool with dogs so long as it's my roommate's responsibility. The cats can learn to deal.

Short term like that puts me in the position of having to find another roommate in a few months. You'd be better off getting a 1 bedroom for yourself, I'd say.
