I know that digital cable with DVR and Road Runner will run you about $115 a month after taxes and fees and stuff.

yall dont really need to pay for internet, there is a device called a "repeater" that allows you to get free internet from up to like 500 feet away...i was told its about 80 dollars

for the sake of simple math 12 months at 40 a month for internet is 480

you are saving 400 dollars the first year, and 480 every year thereafter

i have digi cable, dvr, hd box, hbo, and road runner for ~95 a month after taxes and fees for 12 months. if you are starting a new account, you should be able to get a similar deal.

If your roomie wants DVR, make him pay the extra difference for it, then.

^^^Yeah, my account isn't new. I just moved from a place that had free internet and I only had basic cable, so I had to get RR and I decided to go ahead and upgrade to the digital cable with DVR.

Like I said. I hate TWC. However, they have me by the balls because I love watching TV and I don't wanna deal with satelite shit. Damn you monopolies!!!

It's not a monopoly, you listed the other choice and said you didn't like it.

Even though its cheaper, with better customer service, and better programming.

Yea, Directv blows

^It's a cable service monopoly. Tell me one other CABLE service that is available in the Raleigh area and then you will convince me that it is not a monopoly.

if you had been following the news you'd have seen that the telcos are going to be competing with the cable companies for landline tv service very soon - the closest that it's rolled out to is in charlotte but i'ts in a few cities so far - just have to give it a little time

don't public works/utilties get to be exempt from the whole monopoly rule? Bullshit if you ask me.

Oh and how much will cable cost you?

We would probably have Satellite, but there's too many trees in our yard. So then, we get shafted with TWC, which goes out like crazy. We were going to get Roadrunner, but we still have our Verizon DSL, because 89% of the homes in my neighborhood have it, and the more people who have it, the slower it is. It also goes out in our neighborhood, a lot, too.

that would be new service since it was a new place.

If you just call TWC and say you want so and so, they will screw you and charge you the amount posted online. You just need to call one of hte service reps and they can hook you up.

^second that. I've had my DVR for less than a week and I've already recorded tons of shit. It's also pretty cool that you can pause/rewind live shows as long as you stay on that channel, can use PIP (also with a pause feature), and record 2 different things while simultaneously watching a 3rd.

^^^ooo, i'm going to have to try that! we've run into some problems because we're recording two things and want to flip the channel over to a 3rd.

but yes, the DVR is definitely worth it. i love going away for a few days and then coming back to all of my favorite shows.

"Hey if you are moving into a apartment or thinking of upgrading your TV plan read this offer that just got from a sales rep.

Digital Cable (Digipic 1000) with DVR Box - $49.95
Road Runner - $29.95

Total = $84.02/month including taxes and fees. This price is not for a contract but the price is garuenteed to stay the same for 12 months. And you get free install and free equipment!

If you wanted the Digipic 4000 package its only $69.95, that includes all the premiums and on-demand stuff.

Call Ron at 919-612-3180 to get this great deal...
