ok, here is the situation, I have a bottom right wisdom tooth, the next biggest tooth -- the molar, was removed when I was a bit younger (18, 23 now), and the next tooth to that, another molar had a root canal about 3 years ago, we didnt get a crown on it since our dentist didnt think it would be necessary. Well, just a minute ago, my tooth broke from side to side, leaving a front and back half independant of eachother. the front half doesnt move at all, but I can wiggle the back half pretty good. So far, no bleeding at all, but Im wondering if it would be bad for me to pull the half out that is loose, or should I leave it in?Of course im going to a dentist pronto tomorrow AM. but what should I do for now, anyone have any ideas?

ok, I had the one molar removed when I got braces, it was attached to the bone so it HAD to be removed. The tooth that had a root canal originally got a filling when I was 15, a few years later, the filing slightly cracked and we didnt knwo it, thats how the pulp got infected and led to my root canal, all the rest of my teeth are nice and white :-P^ yea no pain per se, its a dead tooth after that root canal, only thing im slightly concerned about is the fact my bite feels really off right now (the broken piece of tooth is slightly raised out of the gum already), add to that me grinding my teeth at night, almost wonder if it would be better to just pull that half out?[Edited on August 13, 2006 at 8:06 PM. if its annoying you, and youre worried about hurting it further while you sleep, then you might as well -- the only thing you could do for it now is go to an emergency clinic and get antibiotics and painkillers... but like i said before, its a waste of money if you dont hurt and youre having it looked at tomorrow.

at drug stores you can get temporary fillings things to help hold the tooth in if you are worried.seriously do not mess with it, and do not eat on that side.
